Half life 2........please help

Now i know this should probably be in the Half life 2 forums but i need you guys to dig deep for me, becuase nobody bearly is awsnering over there.........im pretty desperate right now lol....ok so here it goes...................

Ok for some reason i can never find out how to install mods i try using winzip winrar, hell i even tried using nullsoft can sombody please help me? Maybe if it is winzip could you guys please give me a good detailed description on how to install? i would really, love to play some of the mods that dont install them selfs (aka SMOD)

Most mods you got to put them into the folder sourcemods.

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods. Heres a look where you need to put the mods.

ones that dont install themselves are win rar files so just right click and extract to C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods

ones that dont install themselves are win rar files so just right click and extract to C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods

Use winrar and extract zip folders to source mods folders in HL 2 directory.Exit steam.Then restart steam.Voila u find ur mods in ur steam games menu ready to be played. Update HL 2 fully before using mods.

Same goes for installers mods also.

EDIT : U can play g mod only if u've HL 2 , CS : S , HL 2 DM , HL : S etc updated 100 % Fully.
