hi, i got a cable swicth and i was wondering if i could share multipal connections with it, like connect it to xbox 360 while my pc can still surf the internet.and i get my computer and laptop on the internet on the same time but after a few minutes it says network interference, then it will go back online then crash again, does anybody know how i can fix this?
this is the swicth i bought-thanks http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=329623&Sku=L48-1142%20P

I'm assuming you're connected like this: Cable modem ==> Switch ==> Desktop / Laptop / Xbox360 If so, this won't work. You need a gateway to do this. The cheapest way to go at this is by doing this... Cable modem ==> Desktop (with ICS on) ==> Laptop / Xbox360 So you're desktop would require 2 Ethernet ports. One connected to the cable modem and the other port connected to the switch. For more information on this go here: http://www.homenethelp.com/ics/ics-install-arch.asp
