How much do you people value protection (shock absorber, 3D accelerometer, air cushion) and other shock absorbing designs in laptops ?

I was going to buy a Dell XPS 1210 for work/gaming purpose because I travel a lot.  I was told it is a good laptop if you use it as a desktop replacement; meaning you don't move it often because there is no such features in this laptop.  My problem is I need a computer that can follow me everywhere ...well, almost everywhere... I go and won't break up after only 2 months.

I know Sony and Toshiba offer laptops with shock absorbers for a higher price.  I wonder if I really need this ?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I take my laptops with me everywhere. Absolutely no issues whatsoever.

I take mine a lot of places but I don't throw it on the ground.. :D. I really don't know. My laptop does everything I need but it does not have a top end video card (7600 Go only).
