There really isn't much to say here, other than the question itself. I love my Vita, and it's lasted me a long time. After having it sit collecting dust for over a year though, there is a new issue where the internal speakers sound absolutely horrid and distorted if the volume is turned up past a specific percentage.
This has been reproduceable by having audio playing and pressing the volume + and volume - buttons right between the two bars where the distortion occurs. However, the specific bar the distortion goes away never remains consistent, and sometimes the audio quality is fine at higher volumes on a fresh boot, as long as I do not try to adjust the volume when the system is running.
Is this issue software related, or will physically opening up and replacing/resoldering the internal speakers within my PS Vita resolve this issue?
