Hi GS community!

My kids used to be able to play Minecraft on PS4, using just my own PSN account -- i.e. the primary player (or controller) would be on my PSN account, and then the other 3 players (or controllers) would just need to join in as guest players on a 4-player split-screen. The other 3 players did not need to sign into separate PSN accounts. However, recently, we have not been able to do a multiplayer split-screen play. Each time a second player tried to join, the screen would ask the second player to sign into PSN. Pls see the attached screenshot.

I have tried all the following, but without success: 1) Checked all privacy settings, 2) Deleted or uninstalled and then reinstalled the game.

I did manage to find a quick way around this: I unchecked the box for "Connect to Internet" under Settings, and found out that multiplayer split-screen play was allowed. But disconnecting to internet also means that the online features become unavailable.

Anyone has an idea on the 'real' solution? Kindly share.

Thanks.

@npiet1: Thanks for your reply. I do not wish to create PSN accounts for each of my kids, who are minors, just so that they can play Minecraft together in my living room. My biggest question is that: they used to be able to play multiplayer split-screen using just one (my) PSN account, but why can't they now?

Minecraft is available for PS4??? Really? I think it is not rational to play Minecraft on such an expensive device. I'm playing Minecraft because my PC doesn't work with another game)) And for the best graphics, I'm looking always for good servers for the best performance of my PC. I'm finding always good hosting servers from wombatservers.com because they have a lot of servers from different countries where are playing many good guys. I like to play with UK guys because they are the real pros in Minecraft and it makes the game more interesting.

I had exactly the same problem, you just need to create a profile and not add a guest. Try it, this is the most elementary and only solution. Or you can simply reinstall the game. For example, my best friend also ran into this problem only on the computer and tried many ways, but nothing helped him. The only way that helped him was reinstalling the game. He searched for a good and free version of Minecraft for many days, but could not find it. And once someone advised him to visit the article, which had a detailed guide about the installation, and he succeeded. So if you need help too, then go here https://techplugged.com/the-best-way-to-make-a-minecraft-server-with-hamachi/
