We said on here DO NOT PICK BIDEN he's bad candidate he can't win an election, he's no Obama, he's not Bill Clinton he's not a winner. He doesn't have to flair or the passion.

We said way back then about him, now you picked him and this is happening. We're losing with him after saying he's a poor choice he doesn't get any worse than this you WERE Warned about Biden being bad.

Why do people not listen. We should have picked Bernie it was a simple easy winning candidate who can go toe to toe with trump and isn't a loser like Biden.

I'm in a civil war right now with the democrat party this is not the best we could have come up with. He's better than trump but he does have the IT factor to win or beat Trump it was waste of time and pick. Bernie has passion he had the fire to all out. This was a huge mistake.

Hate to say it, but Bernie didn't get enough votes become the nominee for two election Cycles in a row now. I prefer him, but clearly not enough people do for him to become a winner.

@thegreatchomp: to answer your question, Biden's poll numbers in the battleground states have decreased substantially.

Dude, Bernie got 22% of the vote in the Florida primary in what was essentially a 2 man race at that point. That's pathetic. He wouldn't have stood a chance against Trump. He did significantly worse than in 2016, probably because people knew he was a sellout at this time around.

I think Biden was the "Safe" choice for voters but if they have a choice for Trump or Bernie they will go Bernie.

I think Bernie has a lot more reach than Biden does in a head to head with trump. He's got passion he's got a base that is going to show up and vote right away and he woulda gotten every Biden vote by default in the general election so he woulda been much better imo.

@ProtossRushX: Rationalizing away reasons for Bernie's poor support has become a past time for his supporters. I think they'd be well served to acknowledge that Biden may not be as popular as they assume he should be and then consider why that may be the case. If it's policy, that sucks because they'll need to adjust to build a coalition. If it's the candidate, then that's far easier as someone else can pick up their torch (although they seem oddly reluctant to allow someone else to do so).

The Republican party wanted Bernie to be the Democratic candidate. They'd plaster socialism up everywhere because, well, he's a self described democratic socialist. Their messaging and attacks would be considerably easier and more effective. He's really far to the left and I could never see groups like the Lincoln Project creating ads that support him.

Biden is a boring, middle of the road candidate. He's still polling ahead, so I don't know where the losing idea is coming from. I was hoping he'd be the candidate and pick Kamala as his running mate. I feel like he is the best equipped to deal with all the messes that Trump is leaving the US.

I dunno man I see the Biden/kamala commercials on YouTube and I just instantly skip them. With Obama I was super into him and was watching the commercials and donating and having a blast.

I'm not having blast with Biden your right he's boring.

Biden was polling extremely well and after the RNC he is polling slightly less well but still good. This was to be expected after the sycophants on the right eat up Trump's Mussolini-esque speech and a few people on the fence fall off into their camp.

@ProtossRushX I'm sorry you didn't get Bernie or whatever but you better get over it if you don't want four more years of Trump.

As with all elections, this is a choice between lesser and greater evils.

@ProtossRushX: There’s no Biden enthusiasm. Like, none. The anti Trumpers will vote for him out of spite - but this demographic doesn’t vote in any big numbers.

‘We should have picked Bernie it was a simple easy winning candidate’

This is so wrong on every level. His only enthusiasm was a demographic that doesn’t vote in any *significant numbers (*see anti Trumpers). Moderate Democrats would never vote for such a radical.

It will never cease to amaze me that a candidate who supports universal health care, supports reducing poverty and supports a push to reduce emissions based on scientific evidence is considered a "radical". It really does highlight the kind of people many conservatives are.

The rises in tax would predominantly be placed on those earning ridiculous amounts of money (in most cases, millions) so his plans involved taxing the super rich more in order to help those who struggle to put food on the table or in many cases, a roof over their heads.

For me slightly disadvantaging someone who is making more in a day than many in a year for the sake of helping people stay alive and help to improve their lives is a pretty sound compromise.

I can't understand the mindset of people who would rather see people starve, freeze or die due to lack of access to healthcare than to tax someone who earns so much money they don't know what to do with it.

It's the lack of empathy and compassion for others which is a truly bizarre aspect of a conservatives personality. It's always about ME NOW and never about others or the future health of generations to come.

I agree Bernie would of moved this country forward but alot of Americans don't want medicare for all they would rather pay out of the ass then be called a socialist it's all very stupid. I will never understand this country alot of people vote against their own self interest because their afraid of stigmas. It's like voting for Trump because you like that he calls people names on Twitter we live in the dumbest time man. If I could move to Canada I would in a heartbeat I am not proud to be a American anymore.

@ProtossRushX: hopefully trump wins again. The dems are a party of hypocrites, and too PC. Every time a black man gets shot, rioting and looting happens. Absolutely ridiculous, what the hell are the police doing, the national guard?? Start spraying bullets and see how fast these ridiculous riots end. There is peaceful protests, and there is anarchy/rioting/looting. Thats what BLM has turned into and the police/government aren't even doing anything to maintain control. If there was a riot every time a white man got shot I wonder how much of this country would be turned into rubble.

I feel sorry for those people whos homes and livelhoods have burned down due to the actions of a few criminals.

@warmblur: They have a Liberal leader under Trudeau who has more scandals than any Canadian PM in history. Sexual assault, election reform promised then cancelled, India trip which included inviting a convicted terrorist, vacation ethics, blackface, SNC Lavalin, hypocritical long weekend trips during a pandemic, and most recently the WE Charity debacle. But he attended a pride parade for 20 minutes so it makes it all ok.

The ironic thing is that a good chunk of the ones rioting and looting are white, and alot of them are also burning down places and looting. All these people need to be taught a good lesson. Bring out the big guns.

Actually, Trudeau survived all of those scandals because he actually did a fair job protecting his country from the pandemic. Trump did basically all of those scandals, but so often that it's considered normal, and he doesn't have a good pandemic record to forgive him.

@Willy105: ‘Trudeau survived all of those scandals because he actually did a fair job protecting his country’

False. Canada has had its fair share of Covid issues due to poor decisions by the Liberals. Shipping thousands of needed PPEs to China, major outbreaks at nursing homes, airports not screening potential fevers at all and allowing flights from major hotspots into Canada - even after they announced flights have stopped, Dr Tam advising masks and gloves were ineffective all while echoing bad policies from the communist party of China and WHO.

Trudeau, per capita, has less fatalities compared to the US, but people are spread out more effectively with a less confined population. Also, like the US, provincial premiers (governors) have more control of their citizens than at the federal level.

Trudeau has "survived" them...for now. They're not gone and he has lost a lot of support because of the scandals and because of how the government is handling Covid. Our numbers aren't so "bad" compared to other nations because our population density is so small. It's only a matter of time when there's a motion of confidence. Covid be damned.

Who doesn’t take me seriously? You? The guy who called me a PoS? The one who said I should die? Maybe the one who called me racist? Nope, it must be the one who called me stupid? All because I have a different political belief than them. You think I take people who namecall and use baseless insults seriously?

No. I’m actually a mature poster who doesn’t need to throw insults to make a point. My attackers show their true colours and that’s all I need.

I think the issue is more that you would prefer to see someone die thanks to a lack of access to healthcare or food than have a millionaire taxed another few %. That makes you a pretty awful human being.
