@FireEmblem_Man:

It may hurt because I wouldn't be surprised if he goes off considering he's in a contract year.

If the Bulls trade Jimmy, it better be for another dynamic player. Bulls turned down the Celtics offer of the 3rd round pick.

Lopez coming means Noah is definitely gone and Gasol.

Yeah, Lopez is horrible in Offense, but at least his defense is good

A 3 team deal happened. That would send Hawks All-Star Jeff Teague home to the Pacers, Pacers veteran George Hill to Utah and the No. 12 pick the Jazz own to the Hawks.

You want my thoughts? Guys are getting paid a lot more money. Even the role players are getting paid a lot more money than they usually do.

As absurd as these deals seem the cap is going up another 20% or so next year. Last year's questionable deals like Reggie Jackson for 5-year/$80M and Khris Middleton for 5-year/$70M are already looking like relative bargains, wouldn't be shocked if we aren't saying the same about some of these deals next year.

I know Wade is 35 and not getting younger, but the Heat better pay that mofo. I'm not talking Kobe-level contract, but you need to pay that man to keep him in a Heat uniform for life. Give him a 1-year deal at 20 or so, then give him the 3 or 4 year deal next year. Or sign him to a 3 year deal now to avoid inflation next year.

@Boston_Boyy:

The Celtics overpaid for Al Hortford unless unless Tom Brady can lure Durant to bean town.

@yokofox33:

It's funny you bring up Kobe, his contract was the reason the Lakers have been bad.

Bottomline, the Heat don't need to overpay for Wade as they ain't going no where. Unless they need him to sell tickets then I will understand.

The Heat need Wade desperately. The fan base rarely turns out in full force w/ Wade. The fans would lose total interest losing Wade 2 years after losing Lebron. No one is showing up to see Whiteside and possibly a blood clotted Bosh.

They don't need to pay him 25 million, but 20 million a season is acceptable. An overpay, but necessary to keep the face of the franchise on your team. The dude is old but needed in the playoffs and crunch time. He's still pretty darn clutch in big games. If they can do another 1/20 million this season, and then a 3/60-65 next year I'd be fine with that. He's earned it. He shouldn't take a pay cut.

Fucking Kevin Durant. I couldn't have cared less if he went back to the Thunder or even if he picked the Lakers. But the fucking Warriors? That's a bitch, title-chaser move. Why even watch the season anymore? Any illusion of real drama is gone.

KD signing with Warriors.

All kidding aside, Warriors were already favored again next season and this will greatly increase that. But it's far from a sure thing.

GSW

  • PG: Steph Curry 28yrs (2x MVP, 3x All star, 2x All NBA team)
  • SG: Klay Thompson 26yrs (2x All star, 2x All NBA team)
  • PF: Andre Iguodala 32 yrs (1x all star, 2x all defensive team)
  • SF: Kevin Durant 27yrs ( 1x MVP, 7x All star, 6xAll NBA team)
  • C: Draymond Green 26yrs (1x All star, 1x all NBA team, 2x all defensive team)

How the hell do you stop that line up? Klay Thompson would be the best player on a lot of teams and he is only the 3rd guy here lol. OKC should try and get Harrison Barnes coincidentally enough formerly from GSW. That guy got some talent but was overshadowed by the player around. I can see him breaking out from a less crowded team like OKC.

Wade is gone. I can feel it. His infatuation with Lebron will get him on the Cavs somehow. He knows the Heat has only about 20 million in cap space, so he asks for 25 to price himself out of the equation. Then when he signs for 20 or whatever figure lower than that in Cleveland (after they trade some guys) he'll just say he felt comfortable taking less than his desired price to go to a winner. Plus, the Cavs just followed Wade and Union on Twitter.

Personally, I blame Pat Riley. The way he cast away some "key" guys to preserve cap space over the years (Joel Anthony, Mike Miller, Chalmers, Birdman) probably did not sit very well with Wade, and then of course there's the drama with Riley and Lebron. Since Riley hurt Bron-Bron's feelings Wade got his feelings hurt, too. He's trying to stick it to Riley now because Lebron hates the dude.

Was a good run, Wade. You know exactly what you are doing. If for whatever reason the Heat do come up with the 25 million I'm sure he'll take it. He might lose, but he's getting paid like a mofo. And it weakens the Heat, making the path to the Finals even easier for the Cavs, even though they were getting there blindfolded anyway. If Wade does leave I wouldn't mind seeing Whiteside take him down hard as he drives to the lane, but I forgot Wade doesn't attack anymore.

It wasn't about money after all though. He's signing a 2/47 deal. After taxes it's about the same as the Heat offered. He's being a little bitch because his feelings got hurt. Whatever. I'll appreciate his contributions to the franchise, but I hope he blows his knees out after Rondo checks him in practice. Bulls ain't going anywhere. Wade gonna take 20 shots a game and score 15.

The real rebuild in Miami begins now. Winslow, Richardson, Whiteside, Weber, Dragic, maybe Bosh. Statistics show the Heat were better with Wade off the court.

After cooling down, I miss Wade badly. I want to cry. I take back anything bad I've ever said about him.

I know from a pure basketball perspective it was the right move most likely, but still stings seeing your franchise player move on to another team.

Its interesting so far like we all predicted but the playoffs are going to be boring most likely.

In the East, while many teams have drastically improved and are on a path to becoming contenders, none aside from the Cavs are contenders right now and given that many of these teams are young, i doubt it will happen by the end of the season. Detroit and the Bulls are the only ones who could potentially be on that path. Id probably pick the Bulls over Det. to meet this subjective quota but Detroit will be impressive for years to come. SVG has done an amazing job mirroring that 08/09/10 Magic team. In fact theres a good chance i'd take this Detroit team over that Orlando team as it seems more complete with capable pieces who are still developing.

The West will be the Warriors, i think we all know that. I cant trust the Spurs in the PO w/o Duncan. The Rockets and Clippers will do their typical thing. The only other Western team that has gone under the radar is OKC. Its pretty amazing how good this team really is even without KD and IMO is one of those teams where if they get the kinks worked out by the Playoffs, they might actually be the best team to take out the Warriors if it is possible.
