Wade is gone. I can feel it. His infatuation with Lebron will get him on the Cavs somehow. He knows the Heat has only about 20 million in cap space, so he asks for 25 to price himself out of the equation. Then when he signs for 20 or whatever figure lower than that in Cleveland (after they trade some guys) he'll just say he felt comfortable taking less than his desired price to go to a winner. Plus, the Cavs just followed Wade and Union on Twitter.
Personally, I blame Pat Riley. The way he cast away some "key" guys to preserve cap space over the years (Joel Anthony, Mike Miller, Chalmers, Birdman) probably did not sit very well with Wade, and then of course there's the drama with Riley and Lebron. Since Riley hurt Bron-Bron's feelings Wade got his feelings hurt, too. He's trying to stick it to Riley now because Lebron hates the dude.
Was a good run, Wade. You know exactly what you are doing. If for whatever reason the Heat do come up with the 25 million I'm sure he'll take it. He might lose, but he's getting paid like a mofo. And it weakens the Heat, making the path to the Finals even easier for the Cavs, even though they were getting there blindfolded anyway. If Wade does leave I wouldn't mind seeing Whiteside take him down hard as he drives to the lane, but I forgot Wade doesn't attack anymore.
