England, and i wish i could say for both answers... and its got to be out the top 3...Spain, Brazil and Germany.

I know the US isn't going to advance from the first round. But, I'll support them regardless.

With the tournament being held in South America, I'd say a South American team will win it all, perhaps the home favorite.

Unless the CIA kidnaps the German and Portugese teams, the USA is completely fucked beyond words. They'll be lucky not to have a -10 GD after 3 games.

And I'm not gonna watch it because of all the people that died because of this. And still the Brazilian police is killing and beating up people for no reason. **** the FIFA, **** the UEFA and **** modern football.

I just hope U.S. makes it out of that murderous first round. But I only really watch soccer during the world cup and I really liked how Germany played last time so I will be rooting for them to win this time.

I think people are vastly underestimating the US team. I'm not saying they will advance, but people act like they are going to get embarrassed. I have no doubt they will hold their own.

Supporting the U.S. and of course I want them to win it all. To do this, they can't fall behind and need to play with a lead. The defense just needs to make sure they mark up. The USA will advance if Jozy Altidore steps up and is a force to reckon with where he can help create and feed other players.

I don't think they will get destroyed but I don't see them beating Portugal and Germany. Ghana also owns the US, so we will see if they can pull that one out. If they beat their Ghana demon then maybe they can get a good result vs Portugal. Germany is on a whole other level.

U.S. roster is set, no Landon Donovan (4 month sabbatical in fall/winter killed his chances). Interesting, Julian Green (transferred nationality to U.S. from Germany), really young kid with lots of potential but doesn't have the body/experience to really be a difference. Will be shocked if he see's any major minutes unless its garbage time.

Keys for the U.S:

Brad Davis in the midfield, great at crosses/in-direct free kicks. Altidore, strong forward who can hold off defenders and create for other players. Wondowlowski, think of him like Mexico's Chicarito, knack for being in the right spot at the right time when finishing. Other than that its the U.S. defense they lapse sometimes with letting players go unmarked and give up an easy goal.

Well seeing as Luxembourg isn't in it this year for a change and me being in the U.K over the summer I guess the only logical team to support is...Germany.

I am rooting for the USA but I think that Germany will win it all.

Good group and decent Last 16 clash and once they make QF anything is possible. USA will hold their own but they don't have a chance of advancing past the group stages unless Ghana, Portugal and Germany falter DRAMATICALLY.

US in 4.

Germany is good but not as good as many make them out to be and Portugal one of the most overrated squads at the World Cup I'm not saying they are terrible but they aren't much without Ronaldo.... USA can hope for a couple good results and hope Germany already have the group wrapped up when they play but for the winner I'm going Argentina vs Brazil with Argentina winning it all

2 - Probably Brasil or Spain will win, maybe even Germany.

@Dexter-010: dude, I'm brazilian, and the police is not beating people for no reason. The problem here is that lot of honest people go protest, but then idiots (radicals), who are basically anarchists, bring violence into the protests.

What is fucked in brazil is the law (that doesn't help enforcement), and corruption in the politcs. These two factors are responsible for fucking everything else.

OT: I'm rooting for Brasil, of course, and I want them to win.
