How will they make money off the service? People will play the game, beat it in a month or sooner, not purchase the physical copy. That service is saving the people that game a lot probably 700 to 800$ yearly, only draw back is noone of those games they own. They will have to increase prices by a lot.

Realistically, outside of SWs, both are great games. Everyone's happy.

That's just an estimate at this point; the rep from Activision-Blizzard uses non-committal language like "could come to Game Pass in 2024."

On SW or not, GT7 crushes Forza, and its not even close.

Almost 300 dollars a year to rent games? One would need a lot of time on their hands to make that worthwhile. I think people will regret embracing this business model if it becomes standard in the future.

LOL Lems aren't getting this for free. Most casuals buy COD, Fifa, Madden then call it a day. If COD doesn't move the needle for Gamepass subscribers, expect Xbox to leave the hardware market. Pretend sales don't matter until you see proof that it does. Series consoles are getting slaughtered when it comes to marketshare.

Gt7 did get a better meta score and it plays on the PS4. I think the next GT game will be only PS5.

I think the next one will be PS5/PS6 or PS6 only or knowing GT, it may skip a gen and be on the PS7. PD will start building a new GT from the ground up soon. It will take a long long time.

@eni232: Given the better cpu and more ram, and better hardware in general, they’ll likely want to rebuild everything from scratch like Turn 10 did for FM. They’ve been using these current engines since GT Sport and it was designed for the awful PS4 hardware.

They could release a new one on the PS5, but I’d be surprised if they did.

@SolidGame_basic: Of course they care about money…but the fact that they have so much in reserve means they can speculate and invest in gaming without worrying about increased profits for a very long time.

Sony can’t.

Sony are raising gaming prices across the board because the whole company is basically dependent on PlayStation.

Xbox can spend money to improve the service to a point where Sony can’t compete at an investment level, which will eventually affect output.
