Sony crushing the charts, but that's expected.
I bought 4 out of the 10.
Interesting that fifa sellas well despite not being a football nation.
There's still a ton of people who watch football (/ soccer) in the United States.
But, more importantly, it's a World Cup year and the game released right before the tournament.
I wasn't going to buy it until early this year but, the World Cup mode made me. (I had some corrections to make haha)
Sony crushing the charts, but that's expected.
Sony and Nintendo, the two pillars of gaming who keeping raising the benchmark for game quality and set the gold standard for the industry and keeping gaming from completely falling apart.
Uh oh raging alt!^
Are you talking about me? If so what exactly am I supposed to be raging about?
@hardwenzen: @iambatman7986:
Why do people in here hate on sports games?
What is there not to hate about em? The laziest sequels in the whole industry. They don't offer anything original that almost every other genre would. Its simply dull and boring, and i don't have time to waste on that when there's plenty of quality gneres out there.
Uh oh raging alt!^

Well, nothing would be a good start. But, here you are doing it anyway.
lol, it would seem you're the one raging for nothing but should I expect anything else? Carry on

I kinda stopped playing sports games after NFL 2k got monopolized out by EA & Madden.

That doesn't make any sense. Is this your way of trying to pull a "no you"? Because it's not working. Start over.😐
@above_average: That's about when I stopped as well. Around once every other generation I'll buy a Fifa and/or an NBA2k just to see how they've advanced. The monopolization of the NFL in gaming has been terrible. EA doesn't even have to try to make a good game. People who want to play football games have no choice but to play madden.
Sony crushing the charts, but that's expected.
Yea, it’s like asking, will the sun rise tomorrow?
Only reason GoW and Horizon are on this list is cause Sony forced gamers to buy them with Bundles at an increased price. And them not counting digital for Nintendo makes this list worthless. Digital sales account for about 71% of game sales in 2022. This is the top selling games when we dont count Nintendo digital games of 2022.
Can you please show me a Ragnarok ps5 bundle?
Because I haven’t seen 1.
My brother even bought one.
This is my 1st time seeing this, like seriously.
COD is number one!!! Thank you Phil!
Because CoD was never number 1 in sales until Microsoft attempt to acquire Activision.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you think my comment was serious, I’m not sure you deserve a response. But here it is anyway.
Of course it isn’t NOW.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@kvallyx: um Lems are pretty delusional here so I can see why he took you seriously.
It was in all seriousness. This is called “back peddling”. This tactic is primarily utilized when one doesn’t have a ”logical” rebuttal for one’s *ahem* factual point.
@hardwenzen: @iambatman7986:
Why do people in here hate on sports games?
Same reason why COD and Pokemon get hated on every year: annual releases of the same games with little-to-no change in the formula.
Multiply that by 2 cuz sports games improve/change even less so than pokemon and CoD.

Cry more.
@R4gn4r0k: the industry has more original IP than ever before it's just that triple A games are mostly stagnant mainly because of the cost
Wow you're counting 'indie games' as 'the industry'?
What a cheap-out :(
Indie games have proven themselves time and time again that they can be fun games over AAA games but lets be real, a game is a game IMO. AAA, AA, Indie whatever. I get you want to see more new IP but guess what, it takes time to developed and be ready when they are ready. A game getting a sequel isn't bad either if fans love the first game and meet its sales expectations.
Edit: Remakes & Remasters are just fillers for the time being.

Uh oh....you mad that this is System Wars. It's ok if you got caught with your pants down, there was nothing to see.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet at #6 and Arceus at #8 without even counting the digital sales. That’s the power of Pokémon.
Pretty insane.
It's nearly the largest media franchise. Ever. Bigger than Star Wars, the MCU, and pretty much anything else you can think of. It will likely overtake the number one spot this year or next.

@hardwenzen: Baseball games are the best sports games. The sport is just so fitting for the gaming format.
@shellcase86:
Pokemon doesn't surprise me, actually thought it was already the biggest.
But... Winnie the Poo? Would never have crossed my mind. Not even as a top 20. That's crazy.

Bundles aren't counted in NPD software. Horizon and Ragnarok did this without the bundles.
@Nike_Air: he's been told that several times, still doesn't stop him from spewing the same lies to continue the BS narrative.
@kvallyx: um Lems are pretty delusional here so I can see why he took you seriously.
Good thing manticores like me have our heads on straight.
Right....
Pokemon is the biggest, money-making franchise/IP in human history. It's gonna sell.
Also, MADDEN at #3, baby! RUREADYFORSUMFOOTBALLSON?!

Awww yeahhh..SONY DOMINATES.

I know, right? But to be fair, Pooh as a brand is 72 years older than Pokemon. In fact it hit 100 last year.
