COD Modern Warfare 2 open beta begins! PlayStation gamers get first dibs.

Weekend One of the Beta is exclusive for PlayStation owners and will run from 10 AM PT Friday, September 16 to 10 AM Tuesday, September 20.

• Early Access Beta - September 16 to September 17
  • Kicking off at 10 AM PT on Friday, September 16, all PlayStation players that have pre-ordered the game will have a chance to participate in the early access beta.
• Open Beta - September 18 to September 20
  • Starting from 10 AM PT on September 18, all PlayStation players (no pre-order needed) will have the opportunity to delve into the open beta. The event will end on September 20 at 10 AM PT.

Here's the problem with that logic. Xbox goons always had access to the game, plus MS did this deal in the 360 days. Now they're crying foul and and cheering for an Xbox monopoly. **** that noise.

After seeing the CoD event a few days, all those shills pretending to be massive fans of cod have made me hate cod more than i should. It was so hard to watch.

When you put it that way, that makes the situation even worse.

Who at Xbox complained about COD deal? Also, educate yourself on monopoly because you sound rather ignorant when you incorrectly use the word.

Played a bunch of matches so far and it’s great. Positives for me were the enhanced shooting animations and recoil. I also liked the 3rd person domination and hard point modes. They felt more tactical and like old school Tom Clancy games. As far as negatives, in one match I was getting shot in the back a lot lol. Felt like those were respawn kills. And the other slight negative is it doesn’t feel that different from the first.

That's exactly the reason that deal is moving slow as ****, because everybody's not on the same page with handing everything to MS. Who, when they can't win, try to steamroll the markets they're in with straight cash. Nobody wants to play cable prices for fucking Game Pass. That leaves the door wide open for MS, like when they tried to charge double for Live.

Sony going third party like Mesome is cheering for would leave MS with an effective console monopoly. Then they'll go after Nintendo next.

Wacky menus and some crappy audio aside, it’s fun so far.

I'd be worried more if Nintendo didn't choose to bail out of direct competition.

Even with Activision bought by MS Sony‘s game division us much bigger than Microsoft’s. MS is trying to chip away at Sony’s monopoly on the game market.

Even if Sony goes full-third party, MS would still not be a monopoly. MS is already third-party developer that also makes consoles because ALL of their games are multi-platform since 2016. And since when did anyone take Mesome seriously?

I'm loving the beta so far. Some things need a little work, especially with balancing and spawns, but I mostly play 1 life game modes anyways. Great time so far. I already know it's going to be a top 3 CoD which is something I could never say just from playing a beta. This is right up there with my favorite of all time MW2019 and I wasn't saying these things about that beta. I LOVE seeing all the one life modes with more planned. I'm also hyped for DMZ, but Warzone 2 looks like more of the same and I'm not really anticipating much.

Uninstalled after 20 minutes.

Graphics and animations sure look nice; But is this the best we can expect after 20 years of COD?

This game has the basis to become something great: weapons sound amazing, the reload anims are top notch... but everything falls apart when you are just running around the same shoebox map for hours on end and the grinding is just not fun anymore after umpteen games.

Did you try different modes?

Ground war could be fun, I saw the game has a lot of vehicles.

What's that prisoner extract mode about? Did you try it?

I tried some TDM and Domination, but I didn't really "feel" anything whilst playing the game At most I just wanted to stand in a corner somewhere, look at some pretty graphics and check out all the weapons this game has a plethora of.

In the end I actually powered down my PS5, chatted with a friend and we ended up playing Isonzo for a couple of hours.

Haven’t actually tried it myself but I did watch a little of it being played on Twitch and it does look quite good. Wouldn’t mind picking this game up myself when it launches.

The grinding to level up and having a horrible K/D ratio keeps me away..lol

Sony would make more money and be more profitable if they went third party, like they have been headed.
