Congratulations to PlayStation for the biggest console launch ever in history! PS5 beaten PS4 record as the previous record holder (2.1m moved in weeks) and its easy to see. The PS5 is easily one of the most hyped piece of tech of the year with record numbers in their marketing results. Congratulations!

Hope Sony can ramp up production and meet the 15m unit forecasted by march 31st (and probably retailers try to not sell those stocks to scalpers)

How is that better? Besides I don't see lems bragging about MSs money nearly as much as cows talk about PS sales. You talk as if you're making money off every sale. Well no matter how you try to spin it, the demand and PS as a brand is stronger than ever.

No power gap or lack of certain devs games on the platform seems to be changing that. Just a reality check.

No doubt the demand is through the roof but honestly I'd like to know if we are actually seeing record numbers of users on PS5 or if we're in the obscene situation where re-sellers are hoovering up vast quantities of consoles, same thing for the xbox, I know an awful lot of people who are ready and willing to drop money on the new consoles (RRP not scalpers prices) and only a relative few who actually have the consoles in hand.

Sure, If, but they didn't. A lot of those $1,200 checks went to video game consoles. The government basically gave free consoles to over 300 million Americans. So it's not hard for the PS5 to do better at launch than the PS4.

Just like with PS4 launch, the demands were high but PS5 seems to be in a much similar state as it was hard to find PS4 when it launch but nevertheless, congrats to Sony's PS5 launch.
