DF: Borderlands 3 PS5 vs Xbox Series X

• Dynamic 4K/60 on both Series X and PS5. Dynamic 1440p/60 on Series S.
• Dynamic 1080p/120 on Series X and PS5
• PS5 has slightly better shadow quality and foliage density
• Series S and X share similar settings
• PS5 loads the fastest with a ~3 second advantage
• PS5 and Series X hold 60 for the majority of the time and fluctuate in random points using a lot of alpha effects
• Series X holds an advantage in 120 due to VRR and in certain driving sections
• But consoles can drop into the 80's in certain stress points
• 4 player split screen is available but can't be tested

FPS drops while opening chests in an ugly looking game that looks like its straight from 2013. $500 well spent.

As of late, i am beginning to wonder wtf is up with old ass games running AND looking like shit on brand new hardware. If its an Ubi game, then fine, these monkeys can't optimize for shit, but we've been having a lot of games that run poorly and in most cases don't even have the graphics boosted. How am i supposed to be impressed if its running at PS4 settings which were ranging from Very Low to High, and most of which were on Medium?

Finally a real win for Xbox Series X. That massive CU and bandwidth count starting to show. Watch out Sony!

You guys are really trying to claim better over some blades of grass lol , was the same on PS4 pro and Xbox one X... it's a port of a port because the blade issues were originally on the Xbox one..This time devs focused to get the game at 4K / 60 and 120 mode and really little on things like grass...

They do mention this because this was already the difference between the PS4 Pro vs X1X. The PS5 uses the PS4 pro settings and the XSX uses the X1X settings. I didn't realize the X1X had lower settings than the PS4 Pro for this game but I guess that is the case.

This is the video of the PS4 Pro vs X1X and the pro version has better settings than the X but the framerate is worse. On the pro in resolution mode, it runs at 20 to 30 fps, really bad. On the X it runs at a solid 30. Start the video at 4:45 for the graphics comparison.

If you guys actually watched the video you’d know that Ubisoft is using presets based on Xbone and PS4. Ps4 graphics settings>Xbox, not only does this sound like lazy developing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we could see both the Xbox and PS5 run the game better if was optimized for the new consoles instead of using last gen presets with higher res.

Well close enough for the PS5 to beat the xbox in most of the games, the PS5 doesnt just win 120 modes several 60 ones as well and even has true 4k on a game were the series X actually is dynamic 4k.. lol
