Far Cry 6 Gameplay Reveal May 28th

This Friday, Ubisoft will be showing gameplay of Far Cry 6. Is anyone looking forward to this game?

I have cynical expectations but will probably get it anyways.

Nice. Yeah I’m looking forward to this game myself so will definitely be checking out this gameplay reveal.

Things seem to be picking up very quickly with all these events coming out and E3 is just around the corner.

I got burned out on FC with New Dawn. Didn't think it would ever happen, but it finally did. That being said, I really enjoyed FC5. I loved the woodsy world, and the planes and such were a lot of fun. Also some pretty bangin music.

I think FC6 might need VR for me to really get into it at this point.

I guess we'll see what Ubi splurts out.

Oh who am I kidding I will probably not pay any attention to this at all.

They definitely picked the right villain not sure yet how I feel about the setting they should of just set it in Albuquerque New Mexico for obvious reasons.

It is not a good idea to purposely make a game inferior.

Never listen to Ghost. He has ruined the Resident Evil franchise with his first person view.

Far cry 2 is cult classic. by far best in series still after 15 years almost.

FC3 was inferior game in every way. no weather effect, Quick time events, cinematic, see through walls. it was inferior. not to mentioned painfully unskippable cutscenes.

I'm not so sure.

The formula hasn't changed a great deal over the years. The story for Far Cry 5 was interesting, but unrealistic, the guns and the gunplay was cool, but the missions weren't much different than Far Cry 4. Just seemed a bit same old, same old. Far Cry 6 would have be a lot different for me to dip back in.

It was a failure. No spinning, no basement dwelling mantra and no alternative reality is going to change that. Far Cry 2 flopped and they are not going back to a failed formula. It is time for you to move on.

With that said, I didn't play FC3 for any length of time because it didn't move me in the first hour. Also unskippable cutscenes should not exist in any form for any game.

Hell yeah, the farcry 5 was one of the best FPS last generation!

Not expecting much ...but the setting seems like it should be more my cup of tea then 4 and 5. Might pick it up when it's heavily discounted.

I'll check it out, but I'm pretty tired of the Ubisoft formula... I'm totally off the AC games & didn't even try the new Watch Dogs. I did enjoy FC5, but not sure if I want to invest that time into another. But we'll see.

Actually yes. I know exactly what the Far Cry games art and they generally meet my expectations because of that. Mindless action, pretty chill overall. Popcorn fun, but forgettable.

It's a day one purchase just because Moff Gideon is in it😁

Not really. Ubisoft games are all pretty samey and bullet sponge enemies seem to have wormed their way into all their shooters the past few games.

Can't wait to bring down 1435 bandit outposts, kill 3214 tigers to make a wallet, sit and watch the bad guy cutscenes, do the same tedious and repetitive missions. Again. Gonna be awesome.

Just finished FC5 after picking it up cheap on sales and really enjoyed it. Will probably pick this up in a few years time when it's around £20.

I couldn't finish FC3 because of boredom, doubt much has changed since.

I feel like Ubisoft needs to change up their formula a bit so they can add more to the storyline of their FC series. It's a fun game ngl but they all feel like the same because the mechanics are mostly the same.

I’m looking forward to this. FC4 is still my favourite, used to love those radio shows when you get into the car.

yeah i've just grabbed it for like 85% off on steam. just installed it and sat through the intro. antagonist looks like conor mcgregor. going to give it a whirl with an open mind this weekend

You climb towers to fill in the map. Kill stuff for crafting materials. Move to the next section, climb a tower and repeat. All in checkerboard 4K.

This looks like it will become boring after while. also whats with ubisoft having character selection with male and female but in trailers not promoting male characters?

im pretty sure next splinter cell game we select between sam fisher and female sam fisher and then trailer will show female sam fisher.

STALKER 2 will totally destroy this game in literally every way. this is far cry 3 for 4th time.

Could never get into the farcrys or assassins creed, but horizon ZD was one of my favorite games last gen. And that's apparently similar to these 2. Maybe I'll give it another try, but no, I'm not really too excited for this game.

I’ll have to watch again to see all that I missed earlier but from the little I did see I liked very much. October 7th release isn’t all that far away now.

Took a quick look at it. Wasn't grabbed. Main problem for me was the tone; Far Cry 3, 4 and 5 had psychopathic mind-fuckery that gave them a certain identity. This one feels more straightforward gleeful anarchy, trying to be a little more quirky but not committing to it. It feels like a post-San Andreas GTA game or a Just Cause game with 90% of its over-the-top-ness sucked out.
