Nah. It just feels like a better Xbox One X.

For one, Quick Resume, which allows for the suspension of up to three games, is currently more of a hindrance than a help. When it works, it’s absolutely fantastic, but it regularly doesn’t. The biggest victims are those games that rely on a constant internet connection because Quick Resume almost always disconnects them from servers, never to reconnect.

Then there’s the new Xbox controller, which offers better functionality thanks to its share button, the better (but obnoxiously loud) D-pad, and USB C charging. But its battery cover clips have been unnecessarily adjusted inwards–a design change that renders all previous play-and-charge kits unusable. But hey, you can buy the all-new Xbox Rechargeable Battery for the princely sum of $25. Cheers.

Spot on assessment. XSX has no new first party games and has the worst versions of multiplats. It is a product for no one.

What the hell does this guy even mean? The biggest launch game was Gears Tactics, a game that was already over half a year old and a game nobody even bothered making a single thread on SW. This console might've come out with nothing else but apps, and the "gaming" would've been equal.

MS showed us all how not to launch a system. Its so bad, that even their most regurgitated franchise (forza/gears/halo) weren't ready for launch, and nobody knows how many more years it'll take em to release these tired ass sequels. When you rely on old ass titles (gamepass) as your selling point, you know you're in desperation mode.

I notice there's a small few of these Xbox buyers remorse articles going up. I mean, what did they expect going in? They knew Halo was delayed and the other games are way off. You can't crow about Game Pass unless there's new AAA first party games coming to it, the controller isn't much of a leap, the console isn't outperforming its rival and the b/c magic wears off quickly. It's threatening to be a Netflix machine until MS can get it together.

Like I said before, it's hard to hype a console without a solid advantage over its more successful competitor. Here's another article...

I think he's right about both, at least at launch.

I only bought a PS5 to play Spiderman, Days Gone, and Ghosts of Tsushima at 60fps.

I'd agree that this launch isn't as spectacular as previous gens. However, the fact that there's new content to buy in the first place really sets the two apart.

I bought Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, and Ghost of Tsushima (Seriously, how is this game not getting more GOTY noms).

This is in addition to multiplats and timed exclusives like Godfall. So there's at least something for PS5 whereas, like he mentions in the article, the Xbox feels like the One X, just with higher framerates.

I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

@Zero_epyon: Spiderman and Ghosts are ps4 games. One could argue that Gears 5, Forza and the dozens of upgrades Series X titles are equally relevant .

The only standout is Demons souls, which is a remake.

I do believe the Xsex has been released too early with not enough new exciting games. Hell, even Halo isn't ready. Owning an Xbox One X, I feel waiting a year or so before upgrading makes a lot of sense.

However, the PS5 has similar problems. Maybe it offers more exciting titles, but it is not enough, and man is it ugly.

guess it's good I skipped the mid gen upgrades even for PC. The PS5 does feel like next gen for me since I only used the base. I've only got a 1060 too which I'm upgrading to the 3080 (when I can get one lol) So guessing I'll have the same feeling again lol.

The Series X needs good first party games.

even though through the help of VRR serious X still has the best version of every game,the huge power advantage is not being used yet

Secondly, losing the biggest of big hitters as your launch game, Halo: Infinite, really hurts bigly, no two ways about it.

Surely the RTX3090 is the biggest disappointment this year... I mean it just feels like better RTX2090.

My xbox one plug and play charge kit works with my xbox series s controller. It's just a replacement battery pack for 2 batteries.

@BenjaminBanklin: These consoles were obviously an investment for future games. Right now the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X are not really worth having. Neither console is much of a step up or has enough exclusive games for it to be the case. Anyone who done 3 minutes of research into these consoles would know this.
