Got psnow today...

and damn it sucks. I mean compared to the gamepass which I also have. I like that the ps now has so many games available BUT, its useless if its only stream option. Most of the games on psnow are stream only, and the constant lag and input delay kills the enjoyment of the game.

There are a few games that are downloadable though. Anyone have any recommendations?

When in doubt use the trial first, if they have it that is, but it's commonly known that PS NOW blows chunks.

I suggest playing as a female in AO Tennis 2.

I liked Risen 2 so I plan to download Risen 3 eventually.

All download. I suggested female in tennis because they max out at 3 sets, not 5 sets like men. Although you can customize sets.

Streaming these days just seems iffy considering Covid is keeping people home and the ISPs have more traffic than they can handle. I live with two people working at home for an ISP doing customer support and since states have instituted more lockdowns they've been getting more complaints about connection issues. I had to deal with it for several months while my ISP had to add more fiber to the area to handle the traffic but now its better here.

Streaming could be good in future. Game Pass needs to add console streaming, for instances a friend wants to play MCC in moment but if I don't have it installed and don't want to wait for a meaty download, I can stream it in the meantime.

I had PS Now for about a year and used it to play ten or so games. I downloaded most of them though. I think the only ones I remember streaming were Trails of Cold Steel and I didn't have any issues there, but I have a pretty good connection too. I didn't reup as I have a backlog of games and wasn't using the service enough to warrant the price.

I found out yesterday, majority of the games are stream, only a few are downloadable. Its literally unplayable for streaming. Maybe its better for direct connection, but on wifi games are just vomit. Theres a good 0.2s input lag for most actions which might not seem like much but when your trying to shoot someone that 0.2s is the difference between aiming at a head and aiming at the sky.

wow...i hope you're joking. The only good thing about psnow is the huge library...and theres tons of games for sure. None of that matters if 90% of the games are only stream option, which means theres only like 50 games downloadable, and of those 50 games theres maybe 5 or 10 that are reasonable, maybe 2 that I would want to play. The service is god awful, its false advertising.

It's a shame Sony wants to profit off the PsNow subscription instead of allowing PS1, 2, and 3 games to be BC disc or download like what Xbox's been doing.

I have a feeling PS Now will be updated to allow for more digital downloads, sometime down line, until then though. I personally would like them to play catch-up on BC, make any of my digital BC games from PS1 and PS2 purchased on PS3/PSP to be playable on new systems. If they ever bring the PS3's PS1/PS2 classics catalog over to PS5 then I would no doubt get a PS5 ASAP, play my digital SMT and Fatal Frame games right away.

As someone that has both, can tell you that you're full of shit. PS Now actually has more games worth playing. Outside of Xbox's "exclusive" games, there's not much to play on gamepass. It's pretty overrated actually because that's all MS has to tout.

i just checked. There might be 350 games downloadable "ps4" games, but majority of them are side scroller indies, like a boy and his blob. Not many are box office hits.

ps now is a damn joke compared to gamepass, its not even close. Also gamepass doesn't have a stream option, the only way to play is by downloading, and thats the best method. Who really wants a stream option, thats a negative not a positive.

you're a moron, i have both psnow and gamepass. Gamepass slaps psnow silly, makes it his bitch. The difference in game quality is night and day, in fact psnow is so sloppy, im not sure sony even cares, its just a free money grab for them. So far the only good games i've played on ps are made by naughty dog.

@i_p_daily: I have an Xbox One dude. Got it for games like Sunset Overdrive, Dead Rising 3,and Quantum Break. More of a Sony fan simply because they're way more consistent. Don't have a Series X though as MS isn't reliable to having good exclusives as of late. I'm not a complete hater like you and these Lems here.

@Sagemode87: honestly I don't know what your talking about. Xbox gamepass is just leaps and bounds better than psnow. You talk about the games on psnow as if they are downloadable. Only ps4 games and up are downloadable. I dont think theres any ps5 games on it as of yet. I browsed through most of the ps4 games on psnow and they're mostly side stroller indies. The PS3 games are all streaming only. Its a shame I wanted to play uncharted drakes fortune again but streaming would tarnish my memories of it.

@Pedro: no...by most objective standards, psnow is complete trash. Even subscriptions for it are very low, I was one of the few who got duped by it.

They make some of my favorite games, uncharted, the last of us are sadly exclusive to Playstation. Right now I'm playing through last of us, the 1st one and its amazing. As expected of naughty dog. But for the overall number of great games, Xbox is better than ps.

These are both gaming services and are judged by their games. There is very little objectivity when it comes to evaluating games, making your claim nothing but your opinion. You are allowed to have it but don't confuse your opinion to objective reality.

Gamepass is primarily PS+ and Games with Gold on steroids with streaming being entirely optional. PSNow, is primarily a streaming service, with downloading being entirely optional.
