• InFamous: Second Son's day one title update will introduce a series of new episodic story missions that amount to around 5 hours worth of additional gameplay, Sucker Punch has revealed.

infamous Second Son is set seven years after the good ending of Infamous 2, in which Cole MacGrath activated the Ray Field Inhibitor (RFI) to destroy a Conduit (superhumans named for their ability to "channel" powers) named John White, also known as the Beast and cure the Plague. The explosion that resulted was originally thought to have killed all Conduits across the globe; however, those outside of the blast radius or with a natural resistance have survived. Fearing the Conduits' abilities after the destruction of Empire City, the US eastern seaboard and the worldwide economy, the Department of Unified Protection (DUP) is formed. Now, major cities across the United States are heavily monitored for Conduit activity, whom the DUP have labeled collectively as "bio-terrorists".

The game is set in Seattle, Washington, now under DUP jurisdiction. Players control Delsin Rowe, a 24 year-old slacker graffiti artist, who wants to help the community by protesting against the government, which he hates. Because his brother, Reggie, is a police officer, he does not have a good connection with his family, seeing as his brother has arrested him numerous times. After trying to help in a bus crash, Delsin comes across a conduit who attacks him. Delsin wakes up with strong healing powers and later finds out he can use these powers offensively. Reggie accepts Delsin for being a conduit and helps him to protest against the government. Delsin then finds out that he can defeat other conduits and absorb their power for his own use. These powers include, ice, smoke, nature, fire, neon and amongst other. The developers have said these powers are "the tip of the iceberg".

Based on Gamespot history, the first thing I thought of is a good solid 8.

Personal HYPE? A good solid 8.

AA. I can see InFamous 3 getting a 7, or A, score due to Gamespot.com's new ways of reviewing.

The games are fun, but they don't blow my mind. Infamous 2 got a 7.5 at Gamespot.com. Sequelitis, the first game was a nice change of pace and a new IP, but the second one didn't wow Gamespot. I can't imagine what the third Infamous game, the developer Sucker Punch can alter/add that would change the way GS reviews another Infamous Sequel. It will be a pretty game, but I'm not sure that Sucker Punch can amp up the wow factor to impress GS...

At least so early in the generation. They make fun games though, so I'll check Infamous 2 out sometime.

So wheres the official hype thread for Titanfall? I see some lems saying cows being scared not to overhype infamous SS, i guess its hyped as AA not AAA. So are the lems scared to make the titanfall hype thread ?

A solid AA title. Day one for me :)

I wont be getting this game tell I get a PS4 which will be for a good while....so I guess I'll still try and guess what it will score, I'll go with AAA

Nothing wrong with AA hype for this. I'd say that's about right. Its much more likely to score a 7 than a 9 here IMO.
