So like 35-40 hours to complete the game %100. Perfect 👍
@last_lap:
Why don't you wait until the game releases and reviews are out. If someone creates a fun video game that takes 15 hours to complete yes it's still worth 70$. Not everyone is broke $$$ wise like some of you. Plus you can always wait until the video game gets dropped in price.
@eni232: Reviews means nothing, the games campaign length is reportedly 15hrs, that's piss weak especially when you've upped your game prices to $70 US.
Secondly, I'm not broke, I can safely say that i've spent more on video games in the last 2yrs than you have in the last decade.
If you play the game for 2hrs a day, then you will finish the games story in a week.
It's not value for money. I believe any game that takes less than 20hrs to complete its campaign should be a budget title.
A game is worth whatever people are willing to pay, and although I'm not interested in the Spider Man games a lot of people are and will pay 70 no problem. I just pre-ordered Lords of the Fallen since it looks to be more up my alley, but Spider Man 2 will all but undoubtedly outsell it in a landslide.
@last_lap: how do reviews mean nothing?!??. You read in depth detail about a video game and imagine whether it is fun or something you want to try out. In a video alone you can watch and see for yourself if its something that would be fun to play. You see, graphics, gameplay, story etc, it's hard to hide. You literally read that the main story is 15 hours long and feel like it should not be 70$ when there is much more to that game than the main story. I played the first spiderman on my PS4 pro, that game was not about the main story only.

Watching gameplay videos is enough to decide whether a game is good or not, its score is just one person opinion and means nothing. I'm not saying the game can't be fun, i'm simply stating that the main campaign is rated at 15hrs, and therefore isn't worth the $70 price tag imo.
I play a shit ton of open world games and know the side content for the game will be collectables, fetch quests etc, Insomniac won't re-inventing the wheel with its side content.
Also, it hasn't been established if you can skip cutscenes or by watching them does it add to the games overall time.
In the end if you're buying the game, I hope you enjoy it.
15 hours?thats like a couple of faction missions on GOTY 👩🚀🚀🪐✨💫
All that wait for something to play and bang,it's over like a premature ejaculation, meanwhile xbox gamers are feasting 🍗🥩🍾🍜
Sony have got some cojones…I’ll give them that. Miles used the same map area and was therefore rightly not a full price game. This game adds Brooklyn and suddenly it’s a full price game again for basically more of the same.
30 hours to 100% this game means it’s more or less done within a week. Oof.
Think I spend 15 hours or more on Marvel"s Spiderman and that was doing the side quest to level up. 15 hours is alright for Spiderman 2 though for $70, I would wait for it to hit $40.
Keep in mind that there are always sidequests and things to unlock too so 15 hours to a casual player could be 40+ hours for a completionist. Spiderman ps4 was around that length too for the main campaign.
I reckon that's the main story campaign is only 15 hours. If you pepper in some side missions and activities (maybe one side quest for every two parts of the story) you will probably get like 30+ hours easily.
Longevity doesn't equate to quality or fun. $70 is the norm for modern games now'a days. And people vote with their wallet, but as we all know people say they hate something but buy it anyways. So this game will do just fine. And 15hrs is fine for a campaign. If you have no social life, then I can see why 15hrs would suck.
When i saw who he is and his list of who he follows. True Xbox idiot following another Xbox idiots :
Idk why Sony fans engage these xbox bait channels. Xbox somehow have highest number of troll personalities on twitter even though the console sells the least.
15 hours? This game doesn't have ~4 types of missions that they just copy/paste all over a map? Wait.. of course it has, but it's 15 hours of main story. You'll still be zipping around the map doing chores for hours, no worries.
But in general, this whole situation just reeks of entitled ass wipes.
@dimebag667: But $70 doesn’t stretch very far anywhere. What you get from a $70 is far more than anywhere else.
And then folks bitch about devs/writers not getting paid or treated well. Gamer economics don’t make much sense. Look at this thread. Folks want 100+ hours of entertainment for $30 or less.
So what do you guys think games should cost then? 100 bucks? Wait, we get "far more than anywhere else". So.. 150 bucks then maybe? Do you think people would pay that? Would you guys be happy paying that?
@Litchie: $70 plus DLC and microtransactions seems to be doing pretty well for them.
And there’s plenty of things that cost $70 that I would rather spend on a “short” game. My boys haircuts together are $70. My wife and I at a bar is easily $70. A UFC pay-per-view is $70 plus the cost of ESPN+. Taking the family to a 2 hour movie is well over $70.
Game production costs have skyrocketed. A game like Spider-Man 2 will likely have a production and marketing budget of $300-$500 million. It would take far more $20 sales to make that up than it would $70 sales. And if they don’t see the desired roi, we don’t see anymore games. RIP Titanfall
Oh god! That grifter DreamcastGuy...
Anyway, it's a Sony game. Wait and it'll be way less in a few months, if not a year.
@sealionact: BOTW has mostly the same map and fanboys ate it up. Why are Lems so worried about what's going on with the Sony camp anyway?
@nintendoboy16: wait a year for a game to be 30 dollars cheaper rather than play it when everyone else is? Way to say you're broke without saying you're broke.
If its a claimed 15 hours than the reality is 30-45 hours for me.
I'm also not poor, so $70 for 30-45 hours of entertainment is a ridiculously good deal for me.
$2/hr = dirt cheap. I pay $200/hr for many services.
Most Sony games are pretty short and boring. Which is why I don't mind waiting for the much better PC versions.
I am probably just going to skip it all together :P
Total War: Pharaoh in a few days, Super Mario Bros Wonder on the 20th, Cities Skylines 2 on the 24th. Exam on the 31st. And who knows what games the inevitable PC port will be competing with? Better things to do with my time than Spiderman.
I bought Spiderman 1 for $19.99 I believe for the complete edition. It became one of my favorite Sony 1st party games. I platinumed the game and it took about 50 hours or so to complete, but I really enjoyed it. On top of that, my daughter absolutely loves playing around in the city. I have been debating getting Spiderman 2 at full price. I love the series, so that is a reason to pull the plug, but will I see the same value when this game is shorter and I will be paying $50 more for it?
Ultimately, I probably will grab it within the first week because my daughter loves just running around the city and I have so much fun watching her swing around. She's 7 now.
Either way, I am really excited to play this and I may have to burn through Miles Morales again to refresh my memory of the story.
There are just so many games to play these days.
@Sagemode87: Uh….because the title of this thread asks a question. And please, ps5 has no games for us to engage with Cows at all this year…and the first time we do talk about a Sony game, you think we’re “so worried”?
I’m delighted we finally have something Sony related to talk about.

Like anything from Sony would run on your gtx1070. You ain't fooling anyone, Maroxad, you really aren't, pal.
@Litchie: C'mon, man. I've said over and over that this game appears to lack substance, just like the first one. It's standard fair Sony; high production, low gameplay. They would have to throw some solid emergent gameplay to gain my interest. I also said they could add 50 hours to that and it wouldn't make it any better. Increasing the duration of boring, doesn't stop it from being boring.
As far as price goes, of course I don't personally want games to cost $100-$150. But that would put games more inline with other forms of entertainment. It would also be normal when compared to every other aspect of life with inflation. Hell, I paid $80+ for Mortal Kombat 2 on SNES when I was a kid. That equates to roughly $170 in current money, and definitely got my money's worth on that. Like I said before, if someone likes what they're offering, they should be a pig in shit at that price point.
I think this game looks like all flash and no substance, but for the people that do want this, $70 seems like a steal.
But $70 doesn’t stretch very far anywhere. What you get from a $70 game is far more than anywhere else.
Here is what $70 can get you
Gamepass Ultimate:- $17
Netflix:- $15.49
Amazon Music:- $9
PlayStation Premium:- $18
Disney+ Premium:- $11
Total: $70.49
😌

I can buy a better graphics card whenever I want.
Issue is, AAA games suck, so I don't have a reason to.

So why was Netflix and Disney+ on the list? Especially since those are monthly rates, paying monthly for all that compared to just buying a game for $70 is a pretty bad trade. At least you keep what you buy.
It's 30 hours with side content. I will take 30 quality hours over 100 hours of bloated repetitiveness.
