Just curious. How many here at SW have completed all of the Soulsborne games?

Bloodborne

Demon's Souls

DS

DS2

DS3

And by completed I mean you've beat every boss, both optional and not, and both in the main content of the games as well as all of the respective DLCs. No half-assing. So where are all of my true sun praising warriors (or dark praising, that's cool too)? Personally I praise the dark because I am spooky-ooky. I just finished DS3+DLC, which completed the list for me. For whatever reason the game kicked my butt a lot, despite I've beat all the others, but I suppose part of the reason is I didn't use any armor/shield/magic. I think DS3 might be my favorite. I seriously love it. The ending resonated pretty deeply with me (I chose to let the fire die). Such a beautiful game. The soundtrack alone had me teary eyed countless times.

P.S. If you delved into NG+ and beyond, extra points!

P.P.S. Happy Sunday! Here's a cuddly black hole.

P.P.P.S. Okay, okay, if you haven't finished all of the games, but want to talk about the ones you have go ahead. I won't look down on you. Promise.

All the Soul games I completed to say the least:

  • Demon Souls completed on PS3
  • Dark Souls completed on PC.
  • Dark Souls 2 completed on PC.
  • Dark Souls 3 on PC, I stop at Farron Keep and took an unnoticed hiatus in 2016. I haven't been back since.
  • Bloodborne- completed that game 3 times and it's easily my favorite due to the fast pace combat.

Only Bloodborne (platinum trophy) and DLC (100%). There might be a few more bosses in the Chalice dungeons , not sure.

I guess it's either Dark Souls Remastered or Nioh next.

No after killing the queen of Yharnam there are no more bosses in the base game. unless you modify your game, people have figure out how to fight cut chalice bosses.

Dark Souls 100%

Dark Souls 2 base game 100%. Didn't play the dlc.

Bloodborne base game 90%. Doing the chalice dungeons now. Will buy the dlc after completing the game.

Dark Souls 3 waiting for a sale.

Other souls type games,

Salt and Sanctuary 100%,

Hollow Knight base game 80%. **** white palace. Couldn't finish the game because of this level.

The last DLC for DS3 has arguably the two hardest bosses in the game. You'd be missing out on that.

Oh as for NG+

Stopped progressing after beating artorious after my ass got handed to him for almost 50 times in dark souls. Did some co-op and invasion until I got bored.

No, just Demon's Souls. Honestly, I find the formula of grinding to learn the unintelligent but viscious enemy move patterns until you finally don't get iced hard to take. I have so little gaming time these days, that's a level of commitment I used to be able to put in in, say, the 90s, but have trouble doing now

I finished Demon’s souls on ps3, but I dont think I got all optional bosses.

Got to Senn’s fortress in DS1, then kinda put it down for other games and forgot to go back to it.

Dark souls 3, is the only one I’ve 100%, and have gone up to NG+2 or 3.

I tried dark souls 2, but really couldnt get into it for some reason.

The only one I haven't finished is Bloodborne. I'm working on it. It's more boring, to be honest.

  • Demon's Souls - Platinum
  • Dark Souls - Platinum
  • Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition - All achievements and about 2000 hours
  • Dark Souls II - All achievements
  • Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin - All achievements
  • Dark Souls III - All bosses. Didn't get all the achievements or play the DLC, because I didn't like it that much.

Eh not every fight but completed all of them. I have been replaying Bloodborne the most and really tempted to give Dark Soul another run when the new remaster hits. Back then I played that game very differently compare to how I played Bloodborne. I experienced the story different by only caring about the fights.

To me these games are the most purest of way of gaming. Often we talk about how there is no stories in these games but lately I truly get how they tell stories. They tell stories in the most purest video game way. Not The Witcher 3, not modern day fps campaigns, not even other clones do it the way these games tell story. Every other game will eventually fall into a movie technique of telling story. All of the so called games will do this. There will be cutscenes or the begining of cutscene when the player is not there, a movie technique of visually showing a different scene to the player will be deployed. I love movie games i defend movie games but i trully prefer the way you experience story in these games now days. I could try to save some npcs by putting them in safe place then come back and they all dead (paraphrasing an example here). Even after i resolve and confront what happen the game will never ever show me a cut scene of them being killed because I the player was not there. Its just me the player becoming the character and experiencing the story rather then being shown to me. I don't have to remember everything I could just talk about my experience as much as I remember what I uncover and that's the story. Bloodborne is just f***in brilliant, some day there is going to be very sweet remaster of that game.

Only one I haven't played is Bloodborne(due to not having a PS4 and not buying one due to the shitty online fees); otherwise, I've beaten all of them-Demon's Souls to Dark Souls 3-multiple times with multiple characters.

Oh, you know what, except Dark Souls 2. I beat the main game, but never played the DLC. Always wanted to get back into it, but my friends weren't big fans of it, so we never co-op'd it.

I only beat the first Dark Souls. These kind of games are just not my cup of tea. I don't think I have the patience for them anymore. I generally start wanting to play something else after a while.

Dark Souls 2 - completed everything on both standard and SOTFS version too.

Dark Souls 3 - completed standard game with optional bosses, not played DLC.

Dark Souls - only played about an hour, found it hard to adjust to poorer controls the newer versions improved on.

Might see if the remaster version is better.

Demon's Souls - same as Dark Souls

Bloodbourne - don't have a ps4

@reduc_ab_: well, i completed demon's souls and the dark souls games

i don't have a ps4 but my friend does so i went to play on her ps4 but the ps4 controller was so uncomfortable and i kept dying so much that i couldn't finish the game and it's a shame, the game was really awesome, specially the pacing was way better than the souls games i also liked the atmosphere more

I haven't beaten every piece of content for two of the games.

Dark Souls 2 - haven't beaten all of the DLCs yet just because I don't like the game itself that much and everytime I try to get back into it I find myself wishing I was playing another game in the series instead.

Bloodborne - haven't beaten all of the Chalice Dungeons. It frustrates me how one of my favorite games this generation locks a lot of unique bosses behind a pretty boring piece of side content. Chalice dungeons are an interesting idea but they're executed poorly due to very static, predictable level design. And as you get to the later dungeons a lot of the enemy placement becomes cheap and boring. It's like the complete opposite of the brilliant main game.

Every other game though, played multiple times to full completion

4 out of 5!!!

The thing is that sometimes too much of something makes it somehow "tasteless"!!!

So maybe once this "boredom effect" thins out, it'll be 5/5.

Back then, I wasn't really hype for Dark Souls 3 by picking it up at launch but my pal @indzman convince me otherwise to play it. I got burned out playing all the Soul games by then and I just stop at Farron Keep and played something else so yeah, I took a hiatus and forgot about it until you made this thread reminding me I should get back into DS3 later on this year. Sadly, with the new God of War game releasing very soon, I need to play it and complete it before I do anything else.

Let's just say I was burned out from all these Soul games lol.

Despite not getting any of the dlc (I never buy dlc period), or doing the 100% achievements (again, sometimes they're fun but not a huge fan)

I would still say I'm a huge fan of the Souls games, and I have beaten Demon's and the Dark Souls trilogy base games. My next return to the series will be Dark Souls 2 SOTFS and I will play all the dlc then.

When I get a PS4 someday the first game I get for it will be Bloodborne

Bloodborne beat it twice and the DLC

DS2 I hated and maybe played 1/4 of it

DS3 I really enjoyed, but I finished around 50% and quit. I lost interest when some other games came out.

I've played Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne. I have the platinum for Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. Bloodborne felt like training wheels for the Souls series, and DS2 and DS3 were too close to the my playthroughs of the others.

Nope. DS I did on PC. Demons Souls I was close to and fell off it. Bloodborne I am close. Nioh is better than all of them imo. Fast combat, better combat combos and I just like samurai stuff.

Every main boss, check.

All the optional bosses, check.

Main content, check.

DLC, check.

Yep, that's me. I don't consider myself "done" with a souls borne game until I beat every boss and play all the DLC.

Dark Souls II dark lurker....lookin at you bro.

All five games completed. But I don't ever play a new game plus and once is more than enough per game.

As far as I'm concerned the chalice dungeons don't exist and are not part of completion for bloodborne.

Such a trash idea and hiding new bosses in that grind fest...fuq dat.

As far as I'm concerned the chalice dungeons don't exist and are not part of completion for bloodborne.

Such a trash idea and hiding new bosses in that grind fest...fuq dat.

Dude, what? How are the chalice dungeons "not part of completion" in your opinion when the hardest boss in the game is within said dungeons? They are absolutely part of completing the game, which is why you need to go through them to get the platinum.
