KOTOR Remake confirmed multiplat

Sony once again trying to lie to their fans about "exclusivity".

"Console launch exclusive."

Not only is it coming to PC at launch, but it's coming to Xbox later to the surprise of absolutely no one.

Granted we seen SIE published game on Xbox (MLB) but man, world is changing its so weird if it ever comes to xbox and under sony publishing.

I played Kotor2 back in the day, and liked it. Never played the original so i am very interested for the pc version.

Yeah I expected as much myself. Anyway really enjoyed it originally when it first came out and am pretty hyped for this remake.

I just hope it's not a dumbed down version of KOTOR. Make it as complex but more polished as the first games.

Doesn't change my excitement for this remake.

Possible the Xbox version has a different publisher.

Never got a chance to try KOTOR. Looking forward to playing this when it releases. I’ll definitely hold out for the PC version.

I can't wait to play Pazaak again. Kotor is such a great game and I can't wait to relive this game again. I'm happy it was confirmed and is coming to pc.

Is kotor a PS5/PC timed exclusive? Or will it be both consoles same time? I’m hazy on this matter,could somebody please clarify this for me?

The original was Xbox exclusive, did anyone had a problem back than despite it had a PC version? In this case, this is making it up for Sony on what they miss 18 years ago. They literally ported an Xbox exclusive to PlayStation so really, Sony miss out 18 years later.

Knowing Sony this could be 2 year exclusivity.

I don't really see how sony's lying about exclusivity when nothing was said about it being exclusive in the trailer. It's not like Tomb Raider for the X1 when they keenly worded "Exclusive to Xbox" in the announcement and had to back track a day later. This thread is throwing shade where there wasn't any to begin with.

Based on their website, it seems all they've done is make ports. No actual original content, though I might be mistaken.

I am suddenly apprehensive. A remaster is one thing, but they said remake which requires something new to be added to the game, some sort of interpretation or twist or something.

Don't get me wrong if they do a "frame-for-frame" remake in Unreal Engine 5 or something, hey, that's cool and all, but I would much rather see a talented studio take the game and license and do their own thing with it, while paying tribute to the original story and writing.

Ain't it funny? Sony trying to survive on scraps of the games that launched the Xbox franchise decades ago? KOTOR was one of the great games of that generation... and the Playstation couldn't handle it.

Let the ponies be beta testers , while the best version is going to be on PC and later the Xbox getting the best console version.

I don't know why people are getting excited. Look at what Square did to Final Fantasy with the FF7 remake. This will be another mindless button masher even on PC (they're not making two new versions), nothing at all like the original game.

I'm sure a certain type of audience will still really like it but people who loved the original are better served with a wait and see attitude before getting all hyped up IMO.

Hopefully they'll change the rules so that the player who goes first isn't at an unfair disadvantage (and, of course, the AI always forced you to go first).

They started out making clone games for the Mac, like versions of Asteroids and what not, then moved to making ports of bigger games.

Alan Wake was published by MS and it still came to PS. Publishing rights mean nothing nowadays

If this game isn't day one on xbox one microsoft doesn't give a crap about its consumers its the biggest game coming out

If it comes early on playstation 5 over PC, than nobody is gonna wait around for the PC version either they will buy this game day one no matter where its at nobody has time to sit around years like ff7 remake we don't and won't wait

So lemme get this straight....Xbox gets KOTOR...Eventually Final Fantasy and Playstation doesn't get Starfield, Fallout or Elder Scrolls?

This timed exclusivity obsession with Sony is really pathetic. So no more actual exclusives, just "YEAH, WE GET IT FOR ONE YEAR BEFORE YOU DO". Truly the lowest form of exclusivity. Is this what Sony is reduced to?

Then there's the ton of cross gen exclusives and PS/PC exclusives. I remember saying Sony won't be able to sustain true exclusives and cows were like "NO WAY, Sony is all about the true exclusives".

Then there's the biggest megaton at the PS Show with Uncharted collection coming to the PC.
