Last of Us 2 Remaster in the works?

Because they believe their customer base lacks constraint and will pay top dollar for very little. They aren't wrong.

@TheEroica: i'd like to say its sad, but I personally went out and bought re4 remake day 1, so...I guess im part of the problem. At least in my case I can be forgiven, since it was a remake of a 19 year old game. Mean while, this game is like 2 years old, and already talks of a remaster. Compare that to MS with xbox...they just quietly updated the MCC and gears of war, plus a bunch of other games with updated graphics, for FREE of charge. Let that sink in for a minute.

Scumbag sony is actually charging $70 for this scam. The funnier thing is pc fans get milked just as hard 2 years post release for $70. Consumers sure are dumb as heck.

Would definitely play a PC version.. I suppose i was one of the lucky few that didn't have any issues with TLOU Remake outside of a couple crashes..

I actually been waiting for it to come out. Ghost of Tshushima and FF7 got PS5 native versions. Those games came out the same year. The first last of us got a remaster a year after it came out. I for one will buy it when it comes out

19 years is a waaaay bigger difference than 3. I don't think you're part of the problem. What people are seeing is what I have said all along, these companies only have so many resources and they choose to apply those resources to remaking games, meaning there are less people working on NEW compelling content. That's really sad to see happen to a developer with the pedigree of Naughty Dog (pardon the pun).

So what does this studio make? The same games over and over, a rumored but never shown Multi-player last of us game no one wants and something else? No one knows...

Now ask yourself, if people could identify that they themselves are bogging our hobby down by rebuying the same game every couple of years from this developer, would Naughty dog be making you wait TEN years between new ip?

Still can't make it through the cutscenes heavy section to care about a remaster.😂

If not for the scam remasters naughty dog might have continued with uncharted, or even the multi-player tlou, or even a brand new ip. Instead sony has neil drugsman and co doing remasters of remasters and selling for $70. Worst is the pc fans who think theyre getting a good deal by paying $70 for a 10 year old game with a face lift.

Anybody buying the remasters of these games for full price should be ashamed of themselves.

@hardwenzen: Sony is a cult at this stage, and if your (alleged) PS5 shit itself tomorrow you would go out and buy another one in a heartbeat. So Sony will always have your money no matter what they do. Spare us the Crocodile tears already.

TLOU2 is universally one of the GOATs, but come the **** on Sony who even wanted this.

We wanted PS5/PC ports of Bloodborne, not another TLOU2 remaster.

The Last of Us Part 1 (remake) is a top 20 best selling game this year in NA.

The TV series was *huge* and, theres's absolutely an appetite for newcomers of the series.

Give us an Uncharted 2 remake please.

Might be just some minor upgrades while they are working on the PC port and they'll call it a remaster for PS5 to sell as a cash grab.

Wouldn't surprise me. It's why they didn't upgrade TLOU2. Charge 80 bucks for a remaster with weird faces down the line.

That's a smart business move. TLOU2 would get a sales boost if they release it while Season 2 is airing.

Let's release remasters or remakes of our 3-4 year old games that don't need it and re-release them for the price of a brand new game! lol please...

@omegamaster: Didn't Naughty Dog delay it? I heard Bungie was asked to take a look into how that's going and apparently it wasn't looking good, hence the delay. Hopefully they release it and it's good.
