I was planning to buy this but the reviews and overall impressions from users so far are not good. There's no online tournaments, they replaced the old 3 click swing system with an RNG mechanic, only 6 courses at launch, adventure mode is very short, no unlockables.

Nintendo really can't seem to make a good Mario spin-off anymore that isn't Kart.

A bit disappointing but it still looks like a very fun game that I’d enjoy which is the main thing. Wouldn’t mind picking it up at some point myself.

Maybe down road, I do find these games fun, perfect little title I can stick in my pocket back on the 3DS.

Pass. Looks like the joy of the game is entirely dependent on playing with friends - which isn't gonna happen for sad old frog. Furthermore, 6 courses and bad motion controls are a turn-off. I don't know how they wound up with bad motion controls - the joycons are really precise at least in gyro...

No unlockables in story mode is disappointing think I'll wait this out.

Puts it in the same ball park as ghost of tsunami and miles Morales,just not as good as tlou2 but better than godfall and days gone

Only launching with six courses is disappointing.

It’s pretty decent, it won’t blow you away, but it’s pure fun golf and a great game to play every now and then.

BOTW came out almost half a decade ago, and is a WiiU port. Why are you mentioning old ass games to make a point? Because you have nothing worthwhile in years. Give it more time and you sheep are gonna be mentioning GC titles as the strength of the Switch's library😂

@NathanDrakeSwag: Prime was always the spinoff series. Nintendo always treated the side-scrollers as the main series. That's why Metroid Fusion was called "Metroid IV" by Nintendo IN-GAME.

I couldn't care less what a bunch of hipster fanboys rated it. You can not tell me the latter is one of the best games ever made. I put myself through 10+ hours of torture waiting for it to get better. It never does. Fight the same few enemies over and over. Enter a shrine. Solve some stupid puzzle to get a nut. It's a bad game.

Skyward Sword has a 93 on MC and it's glorified shovelware. Zelda fanboys are the absolute worst in gaming. They will pretend anything that says Zelda on it is a masterpiece.

Well, the spin-offs put the main series to shame. If Nintendo weren't so incompetent they could have made Returnal before Sony did. Which is what a modern Metroid game should be like. Instead they're releasing a $60 side scroller in 2021 that are a dime a dozen on the indie scene for a fraction of the price.

Here's a question: if Metroid Dread was the same exact game minus the Metroid name while still costing $60 do you honestly think anyone would be hyping it?

Hopefully they’ll support this game with content updates down the road like they’ve done with some other games. Would definitely make it more appealing later on.

We should rename the factions on SW. The terms are outdated. Nintendo fans are the real cows around here. $60 for roms. $30 for amiibos. Microsoft fans are parrots. All they do is squawk "game pass". PC and Sony fans are big ballers.

BOTW is still outselling the other guys first party games in 2021. Let that sink in. Trying to downplay a game that scored higher than all of Sony or MS's 😂 Also BOTW 2 is totally not coming out. That game alone is better than all of the other exclusives on the other platforms combined

And GTA5 is outselling a bunch of games as well, so? Old tired ass title. At least with gta5 its pretty much an mmo, so there's that fad going for it, but with botw? Literally nothing. Its still popular because the Switch has sold a ton, but has no games. Since Nintendo is starving Switch owners with nothing else but lazy hd ports, people are forced to get botw or play nothing for years.

GTA 6 is probably vaporware since Rockstar tax their fanbase with DLC for part V😂

Take away the II and you wouldn't know these are screens from different games.

It took them 4 years just to give us a screenshot of a copy/paste job on obsolete hardware. And it won't even be out before 2023. This is embarrassing for Nintendo.

Switch had much better launch games than PS5. Wait until Bayo 3, Dread, Prime 4 and BOTW 2 hit, companies go through periods where they release more content.

The best is yet to come for Switch. They've outsold Sony for the last 3 years. It's only going to get worse for team Sony.

Zelda fanboys are so loyal that they have been suckered into buying not one but two Dynasty Warriors games with Zelda skins. If Crackdown 3 had Link in it sheep would be hailing it the best game of the generation. The worship some people have for this franchise borders on creepy.
