Mortal Kombat 1 - 88 (OC), 100 (CR), coming to Switch also

O boy, Switch getting all the cool games this year. Looks like they did the game justice as so far the reviews are banging. And weve been waiting for another fun fighting game ever since Smash Bros Ultimate, so were in luck. With most gamers finishing the high scoring Starfield at 87, a change of pace is welcomed.

Played just one fighting game last gen in MK11, not ready to play one this gen yet.

@last_lap: That one was pretty fun on the Switch. I was surprised how well it ran on it.

On topic, if I'd ever get MK1, it would be on PC. It's a game made for new hardware, that they're gonna downgrade to hell to get running on Switch. Hopefully no one needs to get that version.

And yeah, these switch ports... i still gotta wait and see. Hogwarts was already massively downgraded for Xbox One and PS4 level hardware, it'll be a shell of itself on Switch hardware. The Witcher 3 is a shell of it's former self on Switch.

I dunno, it seems to me these more demanding games are better off being ported to a potential Switch 2. Like that Dead Island 2 rumor that surfaced around.

I found the krypt more exciting over the actual fighting. I was going to buy Streetfighter 6 just for the open world stuff. Fighting games i have grown out of, at least modern day fighters.

@R4gn4r0k: Yeah, these games designed for new hardware and then downgraded to run on Switch are pretty embarrassing. Woudn't buy them for 15 bucks, let alone the same price the versions that work properly have.

I love how the graphics and effects of MK games look. It looks stunning. Certainly better than Tekken. Too bad gameplay > graphics so I never enjoy MK games.

MK11 on Switch was amazing. Ran at 60fps and had all the exact same features. It was actually the best version of the game cause you could take it to work and play on lunch break.

Why do people keep saying Starfield is 87 on meta? It's 84 for XBSX on meta, not 87.

Switch version runs 1080p 60fps apparently. But they had to downgrade character models to make it happen.. honestly MK 11 ran well on the Switch as well. Switch doesn't get as much love for FGs so I'm glad they made a switch version. Not my preferred platform, but I got mk11 for Switch as well as SX/PC

Its a good looking port frfr. i know its funny to screenshot mid animation and zoom in to make it look bad.. but give the port props, it looks pretty damn good for a switch game
