Literally just saw the video announcement. I do like that the dock also has its own Ethernet plug in. Wouldn’t mind getting this to replace my current Switch model.

Well this explains those reports of Nintendo sourcing OLED screens, and this pretty much tells us there isn't going to be a "pro version" anymore at this point. But rather the Switch's successor. That said, this will be a day one purchase OLED for me and daughter.

I like it, but not spending $350 on a slightly bigger-screened version since mine is docked 99% of the time. Especially since it doesnt have better internal hardware other than double the storage.

It's still the same Switch with upgrades, so this "upgrade" matters as much as GBA SP from regular GBA.

The dock did add LAN support though, even though it kind of sucks to lose the extra USB (which can use a LAN adapter like Wii U did).

And only $50 less than the PS5 digital. This piece of crap is a rip-off. Old shitty tech from 2015 and charge a premium. Nintendo can eat a dick.

With the way Nintendo stated the Switch might face a shorted few months ago, I'd totally expect pre-orders are in high demand for the OLED version so with that said, I'll try to pre-order at Amazon or Gamestop.

Nintendo did this with the 3DS XL, too. I assume the logic behind it is to get people to buy the regular version for the E3 games, then get them to double-dip on the new model but truth be told, this OLED version is aiming for those who don't own a Switch yet and waiting for a slightly upgrade. But the fact I got my Switch on launch, I'll be getting this version as my Switch is looking bad on the edges since I take it everywhere I go lol.

Since Nintendo completely owns the hybrid console market and no company is competing against it, it has no incentive to use better hardware for the Switch. Why are both Microsoft and Sony not trying to take a piece of the pie that Nintendo has a monopoly over?

Well, that's lame. If it had a much more powerful hardware, I'd be inclined to upgrade. Oh, well. Sticking to my Vanilla Switch.

Love some of the new features, but i'm disappointed for the lack of any boost in terms of power ... not sure if i'll get it unless there is a marginal improvement over the original.

The rumored pro version was never really a compelling rumor, honestly. We're a good ways off from the successor, it seems.

Really like the bigger screen. Nice to have double the storage space of the original Switch. Better sound is certainly a pretty nice enhancement. The improved stand is definitely much better then that flimsy one on the original. Like the colour scheme but I still prefer the black and grey that I currently have.

This thing is never used as a handheld here. Hard pass.
