October 2023 Circana: PlayStation 5 Trounces the Competition!

What say you fellow SW friends! Are you surprised by these results? I know I am, as I can't believe the 9th Gen Switch is still selling so well. It's the energizer bunny! It looks like all the systems are down though compared to a year ago :(

PS5 in black colors is just down right sexy.

I’m just surprised that starfield couldn’t get the xb series to over the come the almighty ps5 in sales numbers . That’s very troubling

Xbox Game Studios has 4 games in the top 20 for October! Sony only had 1 game :(

I am very concerned about Sony at this point.

Spider-Man 2 is already the 4th best selling game of the year in just a week!!!!! Holy SHIT! And Starfield is already #14 in it's second month... it has NO legs. What an absolute disaster. I don't know if it would have fared much better being multiplat. Xbox consoles still solidly in third place as well.

Starfield is part of the games in your list, so it is related to the thread. The game is not doing well at all, so forget them porting it to your fridge.

There's no chance it stays in the top 10 once the holidays start coming around and Nintendo games, MW, Sports games, Spider-Man, Avatar, Hogwarts etc. all get their holiday bump.

Elden Ring released in Feb 2022 and, it's still a top 20 best selling game in Oct 2023. That's *really* impressive.
