I remember reading that the developer said the decision to eliminate stats.. was so that players with bad stats wouldn't be discouraged.. horrible decision.. especially when it's something that has been in every BF game

I liked BF alot up until BF1. BF1 was a weird direction for the series. BFV I skipped entirely, had too much weird drama going on around the game. I remember watching some even where the developer was saying "if you don't like the direction of the new BF don't buy it". And I didn't.
Then 2042 came out broken without stats and I knew it was officially over.
I still remince of the days of playing 1942 and BF2 at my local lan center with friends. Playing online in BF3 and 4, It used to be a great series. Always was better than COD back then. It was the good millitary shooter. Now it's a turd.
To be fair, the developer said that in response to actual garbage human beings that wanted them to *remove* features from the game like customization and the single player chapter about real life French freedom fighters…because the player character was a woman. DICE putting out that statement was based.
As someone with something like 173h in the game, i ain't too sure about that😢
I have 57 hours, which is not as much as you, but I think it’s still a good amount of time to have a good grasp on it.
The only "fun" this game had was during the first couple of months when the game was so buggy and glitchy that it was comical, and kinda entertaining to see an AAA release in this state.
As someone with something like 173h in the game, i ain't too sure about that😢
