Game PS5 (Internal) Xbox Series X (Internal) Destiny 2 (pre-patch) 1:37 1:12 Final Fantasy XV 1:10 0:43 Red Dead Redemption 2 1:04 1:02 Monster Hunter World 0:51 0:29
Well, that was not expected. Link
Aw beat me to it. Yes this is old stuff not built for the tech, but it's not a good look and one would assume apples to apples the ps5 would "brute force" load them faster. The fact that it doesn't suggests there's a problem elsewhere in the pipeline that the X avoids
Today is the day tormy and griffy gets a heart attack.
I always memed the SSD, but i wasn't expecting that 🤣Not only is it much slower at loading, but UI isn't as snappy as the X's AND YOU CAN'T RESUME up to 6 games like X can.
Mark Cerny is a level 99 scammer 🤣
@regnaston: No all those bc games are just brute forced by the XSX hardware, they don't use velocity architecture.
Guys, stop talking about loading screens. The SSD is not about how fast your game loads. No one cares about that, guys.
I wonder if certain members would be missing in action?🤔
THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THE SSD NEEDS TO BE UNLOCKED.
I give this sentense to tormy and griffy so they can damage control in peace.
I always thought and was 100% sure that PS5 was going to be faster at least few seconds faster all the time , but this now changes things and is a new indicator that not even that aspect the XSX is letting the PS5 get away with it.
Entirely dependent if a developer wants to use it to the best ability. We already know the lighting fast games will 95% apply to first party.
@tormentos: Don't worry some games load faster at least the witcher 3 loads faster on PS5 and Yakuza
Am I the only one who's lost as to why we're looking at backwards compatible titles as opposed to next gen games?
Lol you guys know Series X sucks, that's why you have to search high and low for negative PS5 news daily. Must suck.
Had feeling this might happen. Once I found out that the direct storage feature used in AMD new gpus was a Microsoft technology. Basically I’m thinking Sony didn’t want to use any Microsoft tech for the PS5 so they came up with that Ssd speed as an alternative to direct storage. Also it may explain why the ps5 is not full rdna2, the gpu more than likely is rdna 2 but Sony had to either cut or find alternatives to features that where based on MS technologies.
Surprising to the say the least i was wrong on this one no point on damage controlling.
Not surprising at all if you know how things actually work and aren't a dumb fanboy. You told everyone 5 seconds or less for RDR 2 and GTA V.....

There is no such thing as next generation games as of yet that's why.
Red Dead Redemption 2 loads in 38 seconds on my Kingston A2000....
SSD bandwidth and cache size determine load times, not frequencies.

Damn, we've all been played.
Big improvements for Destiny on both is good to see. Will be interesting how much more they will improve once the upgrade is applied.
Will be more enjoyable playing through my backlog now with better load times, better picture and higher frame rates where possible, good times ahead.

Good. Hopefully you would stop arguing with me about things I know and dial back on the shilling. With that said, games that are more data loading driven should perform better in loading.
This is odd but also cherry picked games. I could make a list of games where PS5 is faster. Either way, I'll be loading current gen games off an external drive anyways.
