PS5 will Struggle to be a True Native 4K Machine.

A mid 9.+ Tflop OC boosted GPU to hit 10.2 sometimes ain't gonna cut it for a true long term native 4K next gen machine. The PS5 will be more of a 1800p checkerboard machine most of the time, especially after a few years as games get bigger and better looking.

You can argue this all you want but show us GPU's in the 9-10 tflop range that can run games consistently at native 4K 60fps?

The XSX on the other hand with it's massive locked 12.15 Tflop GPU will 99.9% of the time be a true native 4K machine.

Probably true, but Sony's first party will still make games that look among the best of the generation. Just like they did during the PS3 and PS4 eras. I still can't believe GoW looks as good as it does on my base ps4. Plus with dynamic resolution and upscaling working so well, it's hard to even tell the difference.

Honestly with up scaling and AA techniques maybe devs should just go for 1440p more often and crank up the effects and the games can look so good even at 1440p. Although these same games on the XSX at native 4k are clearly going to look sharper then the PS5 versions.

And guess who will win the gen. Again.

Native vs upscale is smaller than than 1080p vs 900p.

I think they can manage to hit 4K in a lot of games but again will be stuck at 30 frames for a lot of those games in order to focus on RTX.

They will both struggle at 4K just like current PC GPUs struggle at 4K with demanding games. Seeing as games will keep advancing, the only real hope is the upcoming PC GPUs. If the PS5 is running the UE5 demo at 1440p/30fps, the XSX will not even come close to 4K/60fps with the added power. Neither will a 2080 Ti. So, just like Obi-Wan, PC is our only hope.

18% will not be enough probably so that the Xbox hit 4k while the ps5 hit 1800p,that means the series X will probably run at slower frames.

Because of the faster memory bandwidth the XSX and it's 12+ Tflop GPU will be able to hit native 4k 60fps in a lot of games likely over 75% of them, whereas I can see the PS5 maybe only being able to hit this same standard maybe 25% of the time.

Both Xbox and PS5 will double down to 1080p 30fps, because they want all that ray tracing and fancy graphics that sells units.

Seriously, anyone who understands PC hardware and all could see this coming that both next-gen consoles won't be true native 4K.

Most games will be cross-gen titles at first. With the true next-gen games, the consoles will be inadequate for 4K gaming as evidenced by the UE5 demo.

Neither console will be a native 4K machine for its entire lifespan.

Lems and their clown talk. You have to make a mountain out of a molehill because you know you'll lose in the library department. There's barely any difference in power between machines. Games will run the same. 10.3 and 12 are basically neck and neck. That's not even factoring in Sonys machine is far more efficient, has superior audio chip that will save GPU/CPU workload, and superior I/O. Don't know what difference you're expecting with dimenishing returns. There's also the fact that PS5 is way easier to develop for and will be lead platform for most games. Take a seat already.

Current gen 8 console leader, thats why.

More sales translates to more users/customers. This is significant because;

1. That platform will benefit from the "my friends play on it" factor.

2. Ability to better lock in partnerships with 3rd party developers and publishers, which could equal future exclusives or time exclusives.

3. Possible increase in revenue from additional users/customers which will help point number 2 above.

There are probably more reasons, but those first come to mind. So yes, sales do matter, even if you're not a stock owner.

Funny because just about every game at the showcase was confirmed to run at native 4k with the exception of (Sack boy).
