@BassMan: Do you have a g-sync monitor? I ask because I do; in this case, would Dx12 be a better option than Vulkan?
Also what is Vulkan, anyway? I saw it loaded up when I installed the game this morning.
My biggest gripe right now is the slight judder, as you put it; I might try Dx12 when I fire it up next, so far I've only played it under Vulkan.

The start is relatively weak compared to the rest of the game.
also, its pretty darn long. probably the longest Rockstar game. once the game opens up there are loads of worthwhile side activities and missions. I remember the progress tracking stats being a bit wonky so I wouldn't read into that 8% figure too much.
if anything i'd say the story is slightly over-long and could have used some editing towards the end.
how does the combat feel in first person using a keyboard and mouse? (if you have tested it)
Sweet, thanks for the info, good to know the game is lengthy.
As for the combat, it feels as great as any other FPS does. It feels more natural.
There are a couple things that are less-than-ideal, but not terrible; cover, for example, is a little weird in first-person but it still works fine, and horse-riding is a bit more cinematic and easier in third-person (in first-person the horse's head takes up some serious real estate screen-wise, and it's a bit harder to get your bearings).
Still, if I had to choose, I'd choose first-person perspective. In the end the game is an action and, imo, shooters are best played first-person. Third person might look better but it doesn't play better.
