PUBG's audience grew 150-200 million as soon as it went to android. Some of these singular games earn more than the entirity of the exclusive library of a console in 1 year.
Gating games behind £300 devices + periperals + subscripts and having to make games for 6 year old hardware aare going to become "niche" concepts in the next few years... they are going to be replaced by people paying £10 a month to play 100s of games without only slightly decreased image quality. On any device, be it thier TV, Monitor, Phone, Projector.
PSNOW is a solid proof of concept. With the weight of Google, Amazon and Azure ... this is the future.
