With the PS5, Sony is trying their best to be as dogwater as their competition (competition until tomorrow that is🤣), the Xbox. Latter stages when they haven't made anything from the grounds up for the PS5 is beyond laughable. In fact, it makes me mad to hear this, and this is what would make me get rid of the console, and abandon my cows behind.
The fact that you feel like the gen (or PS5) just started says a lot about the traditional console market.
We are 3+ years into a generation that traditionally has lasted 4-5yrs, with last generation being the anomaly.
I think Sony and MS are seeing the writing on the wall, and by that I mean the traditional console market is shrinking..........not growing...........and that console sales mean nothing if your profit margins are razor thin. (Sony is at an abysmal 5% margin)
We (gamers on forums) have been accustomed to fighting over and touting sales but never stopped to look at the health of the industry, not just revenue.
Exclusives arent profitable, especially not spending 200m+ and counting on 10m+ sales..........every 4-5yrs.
This generation (partially due to COVID) has been a dud and both Sony and MS would do well to move on ASAP and find a way to lower costs or invest in smaller games instead of only blockbusters.
I forgot about R&C which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have said numerous times that Insomniac and SE are what is propping the PS5 up.
Astro's Playroom has cool DS features, but it looks like a PS4 game and I believe the PS4 could run it.
Demon's Souls is a Remake which plays exactly like the original. I love the game, but it literally only got a new paint job. I will give it to you that it is beautiful though.
Horizon FW DLC. The base game is a PS4 port, but I will say the dlc does look better. I haven't played it yet. I can't get through the first game, so I have held off on the second.
Rebirth which I have preordered was not developed by Sony.

The only person that doesn't is you, and that's because i make you highly butthurt. I am cow, and its even written on my passport, so until you can prove me wrong, you're playing games with me.
The great thing about xbox is that we have gamepass, and PC, its not even that much about consoles anymore but the platform itself. We're going to be around for a long long time.
I mean, it was released in 2021. So from a timeline stance it definitely feels right to say it is entering the latter (second half) stages of its life.
Of course, it feels earlier than that mostly for two reasons:
Supply shortage during the release slowed down distribution, meaning people had to wait to get one.
Serious shortage of games, especially exclusives.
To be blunt, there just hasn't been much this generation as far as Playstation 5 goes.
I don't have a dog in this fight as I am an elitist member of the PC Master Race and a total snob about it😁 , but if I had a Playstation 5 and wasn't a silly corporate bootlicker like most Sony fans on this forum, I'd be really upset with Sony right about now.
