Stellar Blade rated Adults only in Korea for nudity and violence! UPDATE: Mature ESRB!

With that in mind, Stellar Blade’s adults-only age rating in Korea makes a lot of sense. Korean website This Is Game reported Eve appears to be naked while wearing certain costumes, and the violence involves mutilation with plenty of blood.

While PEGI and ESRB are yet to publish their Stellar Blade ratings, it seems likely the game will be rated along similar lines in the West ahead of its launch on April 26.

It's gonna be on PS5. Anything higher than M (ESRB) is a no-no to the console manufacturers. Plus, countries have different rating standards. Like an M rating in Australia is different than an M rating in the US/Canada.

Would the publisher of Stellar Blade be forced to edit its content so that it can be released in countries like the U.K. or Australia that would ban it instead of rate it? At least the ESRB and PEGI will give their most-restrictive rating (e.g. ESRB's "AO" rating) instead of banning it.

Do Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo want AO-rated games on their system? It will not be an issue with PC as it is an open platform.

When it comes to games getting banned here, it's usually because of drug use, the violence and sex stuff rates last on that scale.

Not that it matters because on Xbox you can just change your region and buy from the US/UK if need be.

Personally I wasn't a fan of the horniness and swearing in the FF16 demo, so hopefully for my own enjoyment, this game doesn't come across the same.

My opinion on this has some nuances though, I wouldn't mind jiggle physics even though it could range from just realistic, to pandering and corny too.

Who knows maybe there is an option to customize the experience like some other games.

I didn't know it had swearing and horniness in the FF16 demo but then again, they burnt me out with too many cutscenes.
