The Last of Us Part 2 wins record breaking 6 awards at the Golden Joystick Awards

Congratulations to Naughty Dogs team bringing home 6 awards!

One of my personal fav new game of 2020 tied with FF7R and Ghost of Tsushima. Many voted for it even though there is a bit of outrage by certain section of fans and salty console warriors showing how small yet vocal that crowd is. Seen so many publishers link this award show and request fans to vote so it seems quite a relevant award. Nintendo and surprising entry this year, Microsot awarded a token award for their contributions for their game efforts releasing games on their respective consoles. Congratulations!

Well deserved. Not my pick but it will be worthy just for the meltdowns.

Can't wait for the next big ND game with graphics ambition that hopefully targets 2k/1440p and 30 fps.

Shows how out of touch these awards are. Crusader Kings, Alyx, M&B Bannerlord are all better choices and thats just off the top of my head.

Yea, they tend to give PC Gaming lip-service.

Not that i'm implying Death Stranding is a bad game, but it does seem more of a console title and straight up is a late port.

Now, why would I give a shit what some award group says? I can just for myself that the TLOU2 is steaming hot garbage and a complete waste of my time. I mean FFS, death boring being called the best game of the year? Really?

Someone actually voted Death Stranding enough for it to win. PC gamers has weird taste voting a port. Must be Zaryia.

More than likely it's just a bunch of cows that rushed in to make sure "their" game wins. They saw a PS game in the PC category and just couldn't help themselves. The data supports this.

Not me, I'm a PC gamer and out of all games on that list the only one I found enjoyable that was out this year was Ori. But I tend to play mostly indie games lately which there are a lot of that'll destroy that list for enjoyment, but aren't from big enough studios to make any lists. Those lists just tend to be popularity contests of AAA studios.

I wish i didn't play it and waited for the 60fps patch. Those that are still TLOU2 virgin, you're lucky.

Just bought this game via Sony's Black Friday Sale. Less than hour in i stopped play. I mean its early but come on.

So far all I did was:

1.Strum a guitar

2.Ride a horse with Joel

3. Walk with Ellie

4. Threw snowballs at kids with Ellie

5. Ride a Horse with Ellie

So then when i took control of a female body builder for the 1st time, I shut it off.

I got bored.

Please tell me this isn't the pace for the whole game.

I won't buy TLOU2 until they allow me to play it at 60fps or higher.

Anyway, Death Stranding voted as PC game of the year...

Played this game (and beat it) within three days. Couldn’t put it down. Haven’t been that engaged in a game in a very long time.

Some of the most addicting gameplay, can’t wait for Factions 2.

Imagine voting for a game of the year before the calendar year is over....

These awards are more console oriented. Also the game is significantly better on PC.

Trust, man, it gets good. Really good. You obviously have to play it for longer than an hour to figure that out though.

Nor did TLOU and that was top 3 best games of two gens ago. That 8/10 game is out of MS reach. Even if they invested 500mil (another Halo Infinite btw), they would never be able to achieve what Sony achives with their exclusives.

And scores don't count again now huh, because a shit ton of games scored higher than a 8 two gens ago, so it wouldn't even rate in the top 100 games of that gen let alone the top 3 LMFAO.
