@kathaariancode: I’m aware, but it’s still a theory. He isn’t saying it’s for sure. Until Nintendo says anything it’s just something to think about. It’s a valid concern, I’ve watched multiple videos arguing both ways, but we’ll see.

I really want Techhog89 opinion on this, but we lost him to 4chan.
Is that where he is now? I was wondering what happened to him.
Edit: OT. Here's my thoughts on this:
I assume this is the case. Just from the way he talked to others, and, of couse, raged, i can 70% guarantee he spends a lot of time there.
@PurpleMan5000:
I don't mean it to be cynical. If I'm wrong, I'd be happy to be wrong because that means that we all win with our Switch games carrying over. This is just based on statements Nintendo already made about backwards compatibility for the Switch.
Not sure at this point choice plays into it. When Nintendo decided to partner with Nvidia for the Switch, it helped them make a quality product, but now Nvidia can basically leverage how crucial they are to Nintendo's next device and name their own price, demand a king's ransom be paid or force Nintendo to tell their base that their Switch successor won't be compatible with the Switch. That's what happens when you make a bargain with the devil.
@lavamelon: Tons of old PC games no longer work. And are no longer supported with updates to make them work. Plus PC isnt innovative like Nintendo is, they just copy Nintendo.
You know nothing about PC gaming. There are loads of ways to get old PC games that don't work with a straight install on the latest hardware. I can play PC games on my modern 13th Gen i5 RTX 3080 PC that originally came out in the 1980's!
The DS had a DS cart slot and a GBA cart slot. Why couldn't the next system have a separate slot for og Switch carts?
massive mistake. Switch has great games locked behind PS2 grade hardware. Should be able to play BOTW and TOTK in 1080p/60fps minimum on an OLED display.
