FromSoftware is dead to me. Their design became too inbred. Been making the same game for 14 years and all the bad things have only come more to the front or not been fixed. I never wanna see the OP complain about Nintendo's milking of old IPs again.

As i said it the first time you posted the above, you don't like the genre anymore. Forget Fromsoft exists, their games are not for you.

Too busy with in my opinion excellent Skull and Bones. Playing that game will save me money as that is all I will need for the next 6 months. I did like Elden Ring though, I thought it was a 9/10.

I really enjoyed Elden ring so it will be nice to return to the lands between.

I don't really want it. I guess that could change, but creating a new character or continue with my main character isn't something I want to do. A new character would mean replaying the game, and **** that. Playing with my main character will probably make the DLC too easy. **** that too. I think I'm done with Elden Ring.

Also, Dragon's Dogma 2 is around the corner, which will probably be enough for my fantasy action RPG fix.

As GTA 6 and Death Stranding 2 aren't releasing until 2025 I genuinely think it is likely.

Dark Souls 2 - 60 hrs

Bloodborne - 10 hrs (I am waiting for the remaster/remake. I absolutely loved it but physically cannot stomach 30 fps)

Dark Souls 3 - 160 hrs

Sekiro - 145 hrs

Elden Ring - 480 hrs.

@nod_calypse: Indeed. Dragon's Dogma 2 looks like a strong GOTY contender, but I still think an 8th playthrough of Elden Ring and its dlc will be even better experience.

There's an interesting interview about the DLC here.

If you think in terms of scale or size, it's probably comparable, if not larger, than the area of Limgrave from the base game.

We think players can expect a similar experience to what they had with the base game. This is going to be structured in a similar way, as you said, with open field maps, with large scale legacy dungeons, and with small to medium scale legacies as well.

Sounds like it's worth the price, and I've found that to be the case with other DLCs they made.

He totally underplayed DS3, Sekiro, Bloodborne and not to mention Elden Ring god damn.

1600 hours in DS1, really? That's just absurd. There aren't enough builds in the game to warrant 1600hrs lol

Loved Elden Ring, but also tired of Souls games. Especially if they're open world like this one.

I'm in the same boat. The trailer looks fantastic but I know what kind of game it will be. Copy pasting the same gameplay for 15 years with no evolution at all. Just grown out of it. From Software is a one trick poney and funny wenzen dunks on Zelda/Nintendo for no voice acting/cutscenes/lack of cinematics but fine with FromSoft making the same game over and over again.

@pc_rocks: Saying there is no evolution from DES/DS1 to Elden Ring is a completely ridiculous and ignorant statement.

Might as well say BOTW has the same mechanics and level design as OOT while we're at it.

100%. there are core gameplay pillars that still sit underneath the games in some guise, but to say there's been no evolution is just nonsense
