My preorder of Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart won't be making it this weekend, so I'll probably continue playing some more Days Gone instead. I also have Guilty Gear Strive coming in 😮 I stink at fighting games but want to give this one a try. Other than that, will be watching E3 shows. How about you, SW? What are you playing this weekend?
Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition just released on GOG, and I'm very tempted to grab it. Played a little bit of the base version on Steam and was sort of impressed, but ditched it when the Definitive Edition released with bullshit region locking. Might give this DRM-free version a go, especially at 85% off.
If not, I'll probably continue with my Doom 2016 play-through. Despite racking up 30 hours on it, I've never actually got around to actually finishing it. Got close, but no cigar. I kept looking at all the challenges, secrets and collectables and starting getting perfectionist, which made the game stop being fun. This time, however, I think I've managed to suppress the psycho completionist temptation. I think this will finally be the day.
I'm replaying Darksiders 3 because I really like the game and got it on sale along with Darksiders 1, 2, 3 for all $24 on GoG, so I'm going with Darksiders 3. Still playing Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and onto ME3. I really need to continue playing Biomutant and so with that, this weekend is Darksiders 3, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, & Biomutant.

I will be! Although if Flight Simulator for XSX is the big announcement, the show will be a disappointment.

@davillain-: what's your favourite combat system in Darksiders 3: the classic (darksiders1&2) style or the new (dark souls) style?
I prefer the default combat as its more in line with Bayonetta style and Fury acts like Bayonetta but more grounded. I haven't tested classic just yet.
Still messing around with this game making lark. Not much on the game playing front. I havent actually played a game in week which is a bit concerning....maybe i should get a checkup at the vet :S.

So far it really lives up to the hype. It really is like being in a Pixar movie. I've been playing in graphical fidelity mode and it's very stable with a lot going on. The charm of the series is there and the characters and writing are awesome. Still very much a Ratchet and Clank game, but a step up even further than that. Really happy so far!
Observation is leaving Game Pass soon, and I already beat it when it released on Xbox / Game Pass, even 1000/1000 achievements unlocked already with like two or three previous plathroughs, but wanted to play it one last time as it was pretty awesome, like a darker 2001 Space Odyssey meets Gravity, and it plays like a Night Trap / Double Switch, where you play as the HAL 9000-like AI and use the various cameras and space station system interfaces and such to progress the story. Pretty cool. I want to buy it at some point but want to see a better sale first. Right now only $20 ($5 off with 20% discount). It's a Devlover Digital title too. But yeah, fired it up this morning and beat it one last time since it is leaving Game Pass. I will likely buy it at some point in future, just not now.
I broke down and bought Ratchet and Clank to play through with my kids. So far it isn't bad, and I like the effects with the controller, but I'm not blown away by anything just yet. That said, I'm enjoying it so far and I haven't even got to an actual part of the game you get to control Rivet.
Other than that I'll be playing Chivalry II, Yakuza Like A Dragon, Rust, Knockout City, and that's probably about it since I'm taking a trip with the family to go play some arcade games, claw machines, and indoor mini golf (screw outdoor mini golf when it's 100 degrees.. lol).
After that I'm going to return to Ghosts of Tsushima and restart the game. I stopped maybe 4hrs in and never went back because of Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Played a bunch of Among Us this evening with the wife and friends. Who knows what the rest of the weekend will bring - odds are Hellblade, FFXII, and/or Desperados 3
When I entered this thread, I had trouble figuring out how to answer the question......"what game are you playing this weekend?"
.......as in......oh yeah, there still people out there only playing one or two games at a time? I cant relate breh. I have 28 games installed on my Series X, and only one I paid for, Resident Evil Village. As an aside, Quick Resume is such a convenient feature of the Series X.
I guess I can start with the most recent.......I beat Prey recently, and its one of the best games of last gen IMO. I actually had the game on PS4, but it was in the backlog for a while, and when the Bethesda purchase was finalized, and it recieved FPS Boost, I held off on playing it until the Series X, because I knew it would be on GamePass permanently.
I believe Arcane (along with Obsidian and InXile) is going to be one of the shining stars of Xbox's first party this gen, and cant wait to see OMEN on Sunday, which is supposed to be developed by the Prey team at Arcane. I bought the DLC Prey: Mooncrash, currently playing that. As for whats next.......I literally cannot figure out what to play next. Paralyzed by choice. Plus I still have a huge backlog on PS4. Still havent even started Disco Elysium.
Man, I wish I could relate to these dudes who are apparently struggling to find games to play. Those guys either play way too many videogames, or they have an extremely impressive ability to clean up their backlogs.
As for the Series X, I can comfortably say, this will be my primary platform for the gen. Feels like the 360 era. Every game and studio I find myself excited about is on or affiliated with Xbox. Playstation was my primary platform the last 2 gens (well, the last 4 gens actually, but 360 was better) but I feel like I have experienced everything Playstation has to offer reguarding first party. Ive PLAYED Horizon Forbidden West. Ive Played The Last Of Us part 3, Ive played Uncharted 5, Ive Played God of War.
