Xbox and Bethesda Showcase Poll

I know some folks love their polls but it is odd that they didn't rush to show this one. 🤔

What is your rating?

I gave it a 7/10 so a C-.

Goeff show - 7.5/10. Much much better than what i expected.

Microsoft show - 5/10. Pathetic. When i think of the word "pathetic", it reminds me of an MS owned studio, but i won't go into detail🤭

Bethesda show/Starfield showcase - 8/10. I liked what i saw, especially the easthetics of the game. Its what i wanted Andromeda to be, but Bioware is too shitty of a developer to create what Mass Effect deserves to be.

It was a pretty solid 8/10 for me or a B.

Just with Starfield alone it gets a A+ from me.

Wanted one of Avowed, Perfect Dark, Everwild, Fable, or Hellblade but none of these games is coming out anytime soon.

5/10 for me. It was basically a big GamePass ad. Starfield not looking that great. Like someone pointed out, it’s Fallout in Space, not Skyrim in Space. The performance also looked like crap. Let’s not blame that on the stream lol, they had the opportunity to test it. And then when Phil could’ve saved the show with Kojima, all we got was verbal confirmation of something he’s working on 😄

@SolidGame_basic: But games hitting Game Pass aren’t simply only that, they’re games that people can purchase and play on Xbox systems irregardless of them being on GP. It’s also just advertising games that are coming to Xbox. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think that Phil Spencer can tell Hideo Kojima when he can or can’t reveal his game.

He is complaining about having games. That is how bad things has gotten for Sony fannies.😂

@Pedro: Yeah, saying that this show was an “ad for Game Pass” is just a very weird criticism to make. All these games are available to purchase and play on the platform regardless.

Plus he’s a GP subscriber. He should be thrilled. How very odd. 🤔

I voted a B, because I felt it was kind of boring in some spots and dragged on. But I take that back, it was a fantastic showcase, 10/10. MS really showed a ton of love to the indies, and provided a lot of exposure and details. They could have cut it down to 30 mins, just showing Redfall, fh5, fh8, the msfs20 halo collab, diablo4, ow2, persona, Kojima and starfield, but they really took time and went all in to showcase the indies. Compare that to sony sop, they literally showed 30 seconds clips with most of it being cinematic. This was far better done with tons of info.

MS made a 90 minute show, obviously it can't be all hype. They're even giving an extended showcase in a few days. Well done MS.

I give it a B- and the show is what I expected and since I'm a PC gamer, I got more games to play this year.

Though I'm amazed MS didn't reveal on Goldeneye Remake.

A lot of people giving it a B which i think is right.

Xbox showcase just not as hype as the other 2. Probably needs to diversify the genres a bit more. Lots of guns.

It was a nice and snappy showcase going right from game to game.

I'm just glad MS/Xbox is getting more JRPG games starting with Persona games.

I like to see fighting games and more stuff from the east. Maybe more Sega or Capcom stuff to be specific.

8/10. Best show of 2022 so far.

Would love to have seen a new Killer Instinct game but I want them to do it right and have it done by a developer who can do it justice. They did get a version of King of Fighters XV and will get Street Fighter VI but it would have been very cool if they had been able to get Guilty Gear Strive as well.

@hardwenzen: Not surprised super cows like yourself didn't like it. All those "console exclusive", "first on Xbox" and "coming to game pass" games must have really chaffed tour backside.

What was the total again?

Persona 3, 4,5, Naraka, and Wo Long wasn't enough games from the East? Sega and Capcom have their own shows, no?

I give it a B. It was significantly better than Sony's State of Play which was like a D.

But, there were around a dozen Xbox/PC only games.

So zero Xbox exclusives, and the "console exclusives" will all be far superior on PC. Just look at how Starfield was running on the X. Now imagine how it runs on the S🤭

I give it a C. Unfortunately, I did not see any exciting games in MS's showcase that could compare to the upcoming PS5 titles such as God of War: Ragnarok, The Last of Us Part 1, Spider-Man 2, Wolverine, or Final Fantasy XVI.

I was only intrigued by Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty by Team Ninja, but they should have shown actual gameplay, not just cinematics.

Seeing as though Koei Tecmo have a hand in it it's probably a musou game. Not sure whether that's a good thing or not.

@WitIsWisdom: Maybe so, but I believe it is more likely to be a Nioh/Souls type action RPG. This is because it has been announced that producers of Nioh and Bloodborne are leading the project. And that's why I am interested in this game.

Nice, thanks for the update. I would definitely be onboard with a game with Nioh or Souls type gameplay with the combos and over the top gameplay that Koei is known for.. that could be pretty bad ass.

No other gaming company could show more than 30 games (excluding the multiplats announced games at S.O.P and summer of gaming) and still have a dozen AAA announced games held back from the presentation

It was okay because it showed gameplay and some interesting indies but was a complete meh in comparison to the hype. There were no mic drop moments as lems hyped it up to be.

Name a single PS5 true exclusive?

The only different is Microsoft is being up front about it.

Sony are hiding the fact games are coming to PC so you buy them on PS5 first.

Also, what is the matter with you about the performance of Starfield, is it coming out next week? No it's coming out next year.

Literally Ratchet now, that's it. By the PS rules that they lived by since the PS1, PS5 has ONE game now. :-S

A - What do people expect?

I expected to see great games, I got to see great games.

Sure I wanted to see Banjo-Kazooie, Age of Empires IV dlc, Age of Mythology 2 and a Gears of War collection. But not all dreams become reality.

In terms of AAA games coming out on GamePass within the next 12 months, I'd rate the lineup an A.

An improved Forza Motorsport, a new IP with Redfall and a massive open world RPG with Starfield, that's 100's of quality gaming hours being spent.

Games like God of War and Horizon are fun and all, but these AAA single player, linear games are typically a 12 hour, one and done type of experience and honestly not worth the $60.

1 hour of gameplay should equal to $1 spent. If you can't squeeze out 60 hours of gameplay within a $60 game, it isn't worth the money. Wait for a sale.

B for me. A fair number of games that I wanna play, more than normal for an event like this. Good mix of different genres. Starfield was slightly below what I hoped for, but I still wanna play it.

But, they won't be on PS. And that is where all your butthurt comes from.
