Xbox moving full speed ahead on next gen console, also sets up game preservation team!

I really don't see anything to be gained by releasing more powerful hardware. Games with current graphics already take too much time and money , another bump in power would just make things worse ( I assume).

Maybe that's why Nintendo is taking their sweet time releasing the Switch 2.... better graphics, bigger budgets.

You two need to respect my choice in life. I don't throw predictions for fun. When i do, its usually after a vision, which ends up being true. We're still years away from 2027, so don't throw my prediction away until we're at the end of said year. Have some damn respect.

Not only does PS have no games, Sony said they don't expect to have a game until 2026. How about them apples? Thank god for Xbox, Switch and PC!

I think one benefit for Xbox next gen, is that they're setting their studios up to leap frog releases. So they should, in theory be able to release 3-4 AAA games every year indefinitely. But getting their studios to that point will take time and work.

And 2028 sounds right for that. I think it'll take at least 4 years to get ABK sorted out, just like it's taken a long time to get Zenimax studios sorted out.

Sony would be effed if they weren't paying tons for 3rd party exclusives. But the problem for Xbox is, they don't benefit in the same way from that. They just garner resentment like with the Tomb Raider timed exclusive.

As far as hd gens go. 7th> 9th> 8th.

The 8th gen was the most disappointing leap there was.

I think next gen will be disappointing too. The only thing that made this gen so good was the swap to ssd.

7th gen lasted forever and that was fun because you didn’t have mid gen refreshes (as good as the one x was).

The only reason Xbox is trying to accelerate to next gen is to ditch the series s imo.

Hopefully next gen Xbox does one console model.
