Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could answer a couple questions for me.

My kids got an Xbox One S for Christmas this year and I have been setting it up for them. They enjoy playing splitscreen multiplayer games online. So, my questions are as followed.

1. Do they both need Xbox Live to play together at the same time?

2. Do they both need Game Pass to play together at the same time?

I was under the impression that only one Xbox Live Gold account was needed for them both to play, but I am thinking that maybe they both need it kind of like how they both need PSN+ for the PlayStation 4. I know you can share one live account if they get on separately at different times, but can they both share one live account using their own profiles without using a guest account?

I'm not sure at all about Game Pass though. Do they BOTH need Game Pass as well to play simultaneously (on a game downloaded off game pass), or does one account cover them at the same time?

I hope I didn't make this too difficult to understand. Thanks ahead of time for any help I receive, I really appreciate it.
