Looking for TV advice

So my setup is currently a 1080p 60hz 55” TV w/ a day 1 Xbox One. Obviously looking to move up to the series x and am needing to upgrade my tv. My dilemma is trying to figure out if I 100% need to look for a 120hz 4K tv or just ride with a 60hz one. How aggressive is the difference between 1080p to 4K and would I be doing myself a disservice by not just getting a 120hz tv out of the gate? The specific TV I’m looking at is the Vizio M series w/ HDMI 2.1. Thanks!

Vizio P65Q9-H1 is 900$ at best buy. Thanks to this thread I think that's the TV I'm going with this gen.

A lot of this depends on your budget and how big of a screen you want to get. I just bought a new TV last week and gaming is one of those things where a higher refresh rate is a must.

As for the resolution, you can definitely get away with just 1080 though I personally opted for a 4K given that my TV is 75" in size. In general, I would go with a 4K TV for anything 50" or above.
