We need a sticky thread to discuss hardcore PC games with depth, complexity and replayability that don't exist on console. I don't want to associate with people rocking animu avatars of cutie 10 year old girl and console tards boasting about one dimensional corridor simulators with QTE and really bad graphics.

Damn, I need to get Vanishing of Ethan Carter. People raving about it on metacritic too... Anyway, couple of pics.
- Halo
- Forza Horizon 2
- Fable
Then I wouldn't have to invest in an Xbone.
Only Fable Legends will be coming to PC and maybe Halo collection (not 5)
i imagine it'd be pretty hard to game on PC only
You'd have to use your imagination alright.
Nothing badly but I would have liked Bloodborne and maybe Uncharted 4. RDR only if it was a next gen release like GTA 5.
But I thought hermits played evernygame in 4K at 120fps?
There's a nice middle ground between that and what the X-boners played.
yes we are well aware of your view that running the same game at a higher resolution = generational improvement. move along now silly herm
High res Ryse will be pretty beastly I'm sure you'd agree.
Interesting. Mount and Blade Warband has one of the best formulas for a game I've ever played- give me that with enhanced gfx.
Didnt DF say Dead Rising 3 maxed on PC was the equivalent of X1? Because I've seen it on X1 and it looks way better running on my PC at max settings. I'll be taking DF's analysis with a pinch of salt.
Welcome to optimization in PC multiplats being largely dictated by the generational leap in the console space. Evil Within, Mordor and you can expect more...
The baseline in PC requirements has been raised, as it does at the beginning of every console gen. People called me stupid for saying that optimization in the PC space is fucked up in that other thread, well there you have it lol
Oh really? Yet, Black Flag and Watch Dogs get maxed out at 1080p by my 2GB 760.
Now you're telling me in less than 6 months, with a game that also has PS360 version, and doesn't look any better, it'll no longer do?
Unless the PS4 version is running at 720p, or at medium settings, there's no way they optimized the consoles enough to make my card, and many others, this outdated already.
Then tell in what way can Unity or TW3 work? Do you have any honest idea what 6GB of VRAM even is.
Almost no game uses more than 2gb of video memory yet to be maxed out at 1080p. And you're telling me Shadows of Mordor needs 3 just for high settings? Now imagine what 6GB is even for.
Keep dreaming. It's either a mistake, or just plain bad optmization. I'll eat crow if my 760 doesn't get benchmarked at 1080p ultra 30fps. And i say 30, assuming the consoles are also atthat frame rate.
Switching from high to ultra textures wont hit our FPS much at all, imo. Just a bit of micro stutter when quickly scrolling the mouse across/camera rotation especially on a high draw distance scene. I'll eat crow with you if it ends up being unplayable or below 30FPS (lol). Until then I laugh at peasants playing this game on their gimped settings.
