For me personally this is probably the best time to be gaming. It's not a question of whether or not I am happy with the state of gaming, more that there are so many great games I want to play, and I simply cannot due to time constraints, not even close.

I enjoy all kinds of genres, indies and AAA games alike, I game online a lot and I love single player games as well.... there simply isn't enough time in the week for me to play what I really want.

Depends how you define masterpiece, personally speaking, Division 2 is my 2019 masterpiece...I still play it regularly, don't know when I will tire of it....deep endgame, ongoing support.

I'm pumped for Gears 5, and Ori 2, both have potential to be masterpieces, but it's hard to say.....I loved Gears 4, I don't consider it a "masterpiece", so we'll see about Gears 5. DOOM will be great, Rage 2 I don't know but I'll probably get it, it's getting good buzz overall and I like the setting, first game was cool but I never finished it.

Bloodstained is another I'm looking forward to, will it rival Symphony of the Night? Can't wait to find out.

As a Switch owner I really don't care about this, I bought it mostly for 2D Indies on the go. For power, I've got the X.

Like others have said, I'm surprised MK even runs on it.

It's not about what Sony wants, it's about what the customers want, and power absolutely matters...but only if the difference is significant imo.

As for Sony's take on the matter, here is a direct quote from the president via a gamespot interview, at the time they had the power advantage and were more vocal about it :

"I don't think any team is just fixated on 1080p, it's just one of the options...but [1080p] games allow you to be more precise and a better gamer. That's clearly the benefit"

Good to know, important thing for me is they keep supporting the console business, I'm quite busy and satisfied with the X and honestly am not in a rush whatsoever for "next Gen", but I do intend on buying the Anaconda.

I will, however, not support their Xcloud services or whatever its called....I have no interest in game streaming. I hope they dont focus too much on that during E3

I played the first few levels, it's alright, similar to left4dead, looks better than I thought it would on the X ......back to the far superior Division 2 for now, maybe I will put in more time over the weekend.

Lol at some people who let numerical figures dictate their gaming diet. My favorite single player game last year was Vampyr and I think that was low 70's MC.

This game actually looks interesting to me story-wise, If I had more time I would have liked to try it....but got too many other games to play right now.

Half the posters here probably never cared about this game to begin with, they were just waiting for the high scores so they could use that to further bash Xbox. Oh well

Although I enjoyed my time with it overall at launch, despite several glitches, it has been a while I touched it and it is unfortunate to hear such news, I will look into it again every few weeks to see what is new...I like the core gameplay and I hope over time it can be something better...but I am keeping my expectations low just in case.

Fortunately, the Divison 2 released shortly after and destroys Anthem and is an excellent example of what this kind of game should be. It is easily, imo, the best loot shooter on the market today and one of the most impressive PVE coop games I've ever played. The game set the benchmark for this genre as far as Im concerned.
