I have dealt with it within my family. What do I think? Suicide is selfish as ****. If you do it, you're not thinking of the many people (friends, family etc) you are hurting. Yeah depression is a bitch, but there are ALWAYS ways to push through it. That's my thoughts on it.
"There are ALWAYS ways to push through it." Unbelievable how ignorant this is. Which is even more shocking considering just how many things completely contradict what you are saying. Luckily most people have woken up and realized this.
How is that ignorant? There's plenty of outlets to turn to for major depression. Suicide is just thinking about yourself, which equals selfish. My aunt committed suicide & left two kids that still hurt from it. Selfish as ****. You can call me ignorant, but idgaf.
I think suicide is selfish. My uncle committed suicide a long time ago, and it still hurts my mom greatly.
it hurting others doesn't necessarily make it selfish. A lot of depressed people believe the the world will be a better place without them. You have to look at it through their prospective.

Wow. This was a man who put such high energy into his performances, especially in his stand-up. Sad to hear what has happened to him.
I hate to get off track in this topic for a second, but we got a few notices regarding some of the posts that were made in here. I just wanted to let people know if anyone wants to make a proper thread discussing depression--one that doesn't involve posting offensive/trolling responses--they're more than welcome to do so.
Also, if a post has been removed, it's been taken down an admin/mod for a reason. Please do not repost it.
you don't seem to realize those posts could have saved peoples lives, especially on a forum with so much youngsters.
Probably the only time I will agree with this guy.
