3DS > Switch

3DS is a dedicated handheld with games specifically made for it. Free online, great UI, neat free stuff.

Switch is a slightly more portable Wii U. I say slightly, since the battery is crap and the system is still huge.

Same games and graphics as Wii U, way more boring UI and stuff you now have to pay for which were previously free. Some useless gimmick (HD rumble) which they only promoted for the first batch of games. Wonder how much extra we pay for something useless like that.

Nintendo use the Switch to resell their previous games too much, and indie developers seem to think it's awesome to put their games on Switch with higher prices than everywhere else. Other studios put their AAA games on Switch that the Switch can't handle and thinks that's OK. Nintendo themselves now thinks games running in 15 fps is OK.

To answer the thread, I don't think the Switch did anything better other than selling more.

New studio is good, since MS is on a buying/closing studio rampage right now.
"Narrative driven" sounds like something I wouldn't be interested in though.

And if they just started, whatever they're doing is 5+ years away. No reason to care yet.

If Helldivers 2 got a good TV show and wasn't owned by Sony, it'd be different.

Sony fucking sucks, and people even played the horrible Fallout 76 because of the show.

An attempt at their own Splatoon? Sony copying Nintendo and failing horribly at it is a pretty common occurence.

Even the title screams originality.

Don't particularly like anything I saw in the trailer, and the platforming looks very annoying.

Do people actually game while they shit? Taking a shit takes like 5 minutes. You can't get any real gaming done in that time unless you sit there for way longer than you need in your own poo smell. Doesn't sound that awesome or comfortable..

Edit: Nvm, I found a thread about the subject with a lot of dudes who has families. They use the toilet to get away from their families, as that's the one room they don't get bothered in. I can get that. A less annoying family would be preferable, but I can understand. Rest of the toilet gamers just seems to have a gaming problem.

Both. Games are becoming more and more advanced, and I'm eager to see future videogames.

I also worry predatory business practices will become worse. It has already made me play way fewer AAA games than I did in the past, and if it worsens, I might stop buying AAA games altogether. Which is lame for me since I want to play big budget games sometimes but not be agressively milked, and it's lame for the companies to never get my money.

I also dislike subscription services, and I don't think those will decelerate either. MS is probably looking into making PC gamers pay for online gaming as we speak..
