It's hardly as insidious as the author is making it out to be. It just sounds like the man is a conservative who is super butthurt about the shift in status quo.

Irony.

It has some good points and I do agree with the overall message, but one thing needs to be pointed out: The lesbian couple were justified in suing the bakery. A business open to the public cannot nor should they legally refuse service against any person due to their national creed, religion, color, and etc with some states pushing the same for homosexuals as well.

The link the article gave out was drivel. It's not "thoughtcrime," it's discrimination and the bakers made it clear they were discriminating against them on the basis of their sexuality. If a gay bakery refused Christian customers because they don't like their religion, it's also discrimination. Don't like it? Move to Russia.

It makes for frightening and outrageous reading, but the phenomenon is nothing new. Dare to deny the Holocaust (or even just to question a detail of the Holocaust narrative) and you'll quickly discover how miserable and costly it can be to fall foul of the thought police.

Yes when you deny an historical event, people will think you're an idiot.

Stop oppressing him. *Waves the confederate flag*

HERITAGE, NOT HATE!!!!!!!!!11111 EVILUTION IS A MYTH!1 MAH RELGIIOUS FREEDUMS!!

Something I've seen from republicans that always seemed incredibly dishonest;

I always here republicans saying that government should stay out of peoples lives and that people should take more responsibility themselves. Then when that happens, perfect example being the boycott that destroyed that bakery, republicans whine and whine and whine.

They just talk out of both sides of their mouth.

Time out. There is a difference between free market and the government coming in and smacking a $150,000 fine on the bakery. Also when people freely donated money to that bakery the government stepped in and stopped it.

And I recall liberals/democrats freaking out when the Dixie Chicks went down in flames after publicly blasting our president in a foreign country and their fans boycotted them. That is as much free market as the bakery boycott.

The fact is Republicans and Democrats are both hypocrite morons. The Christians should be able to exercise their 1st amendment rights, homosexuals should be able to exercise their civil rights. The problem here is it is about "**** Christians" but the left doesn't want to budge on anything. How about you find another fucking bakery and respect their beliefs? That is what this article is about, it is not enough to allow gay marriage, you need them to embrace it as well. You want it all but give nothing in return. If we all respected each other's beliefs with a live and let live mentality this country would be better off.

There was a case I've heard of that was destroyed purely by a boycott/social media.

I don't remember the Dixie Chicks thing, but I don't pay attention to artists.

No they shouldn't be able to exercise their right, fact is that homosexuality does have biological roots, and it is wrong to discriminate against something that somebody is born with. No respect for businesses that discriminate against race, sex or homosexuality; things people are born with, they deserve to go bankrupt, they deserve to be viewed as morally wrong.

Some people have a metabolism problem. That's not fair to blame the parents for medical conditions.

Those are incredibly rare though, as in statistically negligible. it's really just the parents being shitty.

yeah but the guy is asking way too much. He wants them to build a super powerful beast that makes no money for them, then somehow woo third party away from ms/sony with marketing deals. He even said he won't be buying the first party games, and he wants ninty to host all the online stuff for free and make it "decent". Just seems like a snobby customer imo.

All customers SHOULD be "snobby", all the time. People keep acting like these billion dollar companies are our friends. THEY AREN'T. They are greedy businessmen that want OUR money. Damn bloody right they need to earn it, we should ALWAYS be demanding more.

well when ninty makes billions on ios im gonna blame you people who shoved them out of the traditional gaming world with the ps4/xbone

i just hope there games still can use a controller

Why would you buy an inferior product that costs twice as much as it's competitors?
