I haven't been here in awhile. That being said, I'm saddened to see this post and to see you go. After Greg left Gamespot years ago, there was only a few other reviewers that I could read and understand well enough to see what games were beneficial or a detriment to my gaming and you were one of them. To see you go is depressing, to say the least. With that also said, congrats on the new role and I wish you luck on your future endeavors. You, of all people, deserve to have great success in your new venture and I'm looking forward to seeing what your writing skills are capable of in another way in gaming.

The series was good (except for 8) up until 10.

10 was the last great traditional FF I've played. Then comes 11, 12, and 13, games that aren't high on my list for best FF.

14 is something I wouldn't count as a traditional FF, but it's one of my favorites now. I still would have called it Final Fantasy Online 2 or something like that, same with FFXI, which should have been called Final Fantasy Online.

In any case, I don't buy any FF title. It has to be a good FF game for me to go "Yeah, I'm interested." Playing the FFXV demo briefly, I can say that I'm not interested in it. In fact, I'm waiting for the day when they go back old-school for the modern age.

Although I know they released a new Double Dragon game in the form of Double Dragon Neon, I still would love to see a true sequel to Super Double Dragon. So, essentially, I mean the Double Dragon franchise.

Based on that animated photo, I'm guessing not.

How's it going guys? It's been awhile since I've been here. Life's been keeping me busy, so that's why I haven't been around in awhile. Anything good going on? :-)

There needs to be a new LOK game or Soul Reaver game...there are still a lot of questions that need to be solved and while Defiance answered a lot of them, some things are still left in the open...

It was quite gruesome, but it was fresh and new, something that I'd never seen before in a videogame. The animation, by the way, was stellar and I loved the work they put into it. Did you know that it was Jordan Mechner's younger sibling who provided the animation by doing the stunts?

I'm sure he or she has, but the fact is, Prince Of Persia does have excellent platforming mechanics in some of its games (excluding Prince Of Persia 3D). I played the original A LOT and enjoyed the fights. In fact, I figured out a way how to defeat Jafar without much of a problem. Just counter and attack as fast as possible until he gets hit and then eventually dies. :-)
