Would you deem acting as Blizzard's marketing arm disreputable if it were Jeffrey Epstein in charge of the company? Is it not reason enough that a female employee committed suicide due to its conduct—is death not sufficient cause to stop giving the company publicity, and, perhaps, feel shame about catering to abusers with a parade of fawning articles?

You can tell yourself that it is your job. It is also the job of Harvey Weinstein's lawyers to defend Harvey Weinstein. Whether you accept a job is on you.

Acknowledging the lawsuit in your miniscule footnote, or anywhere, isn't a badge of neutrality, your get out of jail free card. Promoting Blizzard is a choice. You can not do it.

These articles are grotesque.

….and consumers can exercise their own initiative respective to what they deem relevant to their moral compass.

You think this novel? You live in a world where you, by necessity, MUST support practices and companies of questionable morality. You do so every single day without even realizing it. Everything you consume can be held to outrage to some extent or another.

You are not the arbiter of what others are to find morally outrageous in this world, nor of dictating to anyone else what they should or should not cover or engage in simply because YOU find it morally repugnant. So do I, but it is my initiative to take interest or not in that determination.

Not yours, not Gamespot’s.

I can understand the greviences that this ain’t your grandpa’s God of War, yet the exact same criticism was laid at RE 4’s feet before, during, and after its release. Now it’s widely considered the best in the franchise, and while there are still those bemoaning the change in direction, they are in the minority.

The same will happen here. I 100% agree with the author that the old games’ combat had no feeling of weight or impact, only when doing finishing moves was there any sense of visceral violence. Combos simply had the blades passing through with sound effects and generic enemy hit animations. I for one desire more intimacy in combat encounters, and this looks to be bringing precisely that.

Can’t wait for release, I have a feeling this one’s going to be something special.

If Nintendo deems to treat one of not only their founding franchises but one that also has given birth and imitation to numerous others in such a manner, they are lost. Metroid deserves better than this, especially 30 years on. Disgraceful.

Nintendo loves games? Appears to me they love profit from selling out one of their most revered franchises to the quickest cash-in with the least amount possible put in more. Until I see another mainline entry, I can only believe this is the treatment they afford one of their past glories henceforth.

Where is the Nintendo that made a name for itself? This ain't it.

A "degloved face"?

Yea, I'll try my best not to imagine what that's like.

Gamespot, got to be careful with your editing: Darth Maul's "markeup"?

Gave me a good chuckle.

"Speaking more generally about Nintendo's smartphone gaming endeavors, Kimishima stressed that people should understand Nintendo is aiming for its smartphone business to eventually become a core "pillar" of the company's operations".

Well, there it is.

*sigh*

I have no trouble with Nintendo going mobile, I've actually advocated it in the past, but a "main pillar"? Just......no. No. No no no no no no no no. This sounds awful. I fear the NX.
