@probable: TEW3 would have been very difficult considering a lot of key people who made those games left years ago. Shame however, they put together Hi-Fi Rush and you'd figure that would have kept Microsoft happy but seems Gamepass is just not profitable.

Tango GameWorks was struggling with key talent leaving way before Microsoft picked them up but this is the final nail for TEW fans that expected a part 3.

Yeah I figured. From Software is already set to move-on from Elden Ring, and that's for the best. Plus if it's anything like the expansions from Souls games it'll still be excellent.

@hardwenzen: For those who enjoy the Bayonettas, Devil May Crys & Ninja Gaidens; Stellar Blade looks like a must-play.

Must not be a genre of interest to you. I'll probably pick it up after I've cleaned up what I'm playing currently. I like Hack n' Slashers.

@sladakrobot: Monster Hunter games also offer two years of content for free.

@probable: No, and certainly not tougher than the expansion Dark Arisen. The Vocations also seem overall to have been buffed as well so most of them are really fun to play.

It does however have new mechanics and systems; such as the jump command doesn't some with a roll and overall the Arisen is far less nimble. Then the Ox Cart & Dragon Plague which seem overall controversial.

As a fan of the original I really like the sequel.

Dragon's Dogma II will probably remain my favorite game of 2024, the map is very dense and fun to explore even if majority the rewards are mundane, and I for one like the oxcart system.

Imagine the DLC later in winter will bring me back for many more hours. Hope Capcom add a proper replayable end-game too. As it stands DD2 is designed at most for two playthroughs with little less to grab the player. And a lot of that is to clean up what you didn't do the first time around.

However, favorite and best are two very different words. Dragon's Dogma II isn't even the best game of 2024 right now, let alone of the year. You'd be foolish to think otherwise.

The hate backlash is without doubt mouth-spewing stupidity. . that stated DD2 is extremely flawed in a lot of areas, most of which are the original games failings as well, not Dark Arisen, but the original games release.

My main gripe is however the lack of replayability.

Enemy variety isn't even as bad as some have made it out to be. DD2 has a lot more enemies and boss enemies than DD, the placement of variety however is messy in DD2/ That I can agree-on.

@illegal_peanut: Fall Out 3 is no question many people's introduction to the series, it was mine as well.

With that stated if you're going to do a list of the entire franchise I think it's condescending to skip on its origins, namely when they're by the same people who made New Vegas.

They could have just called it Bethesda era of Fall Out games but GS have a habit of knowing they're bias but refusing to acknowledge it.

They did the same with Monster Hunter, person claimed to be a series veteran, also claimed World was too difficult in its end-game??? 'World being the easiest entry prior to Rise'.

It's really easy to smell the bullshit with some of these articles.
