I played Oblivion for a few months this year. It's a lot of fun, especially with mods. There are a lot of great UI mods along with Better Cities, which, true to its name, makes the cities of Oblivion way better. Also, there are a lot of great quest mods out there (Verona House Bloodlines, Reclaiming Sancre Tor, etc.). After about 75 hours I got tired of the game and moved on, but I have it installed and the save files kept because I know I'll probably want to play it again in a couple of months.

Then play Oblivion and/or Morrowind and prepare to be mind blown.

Funny how we see more graphics related threads on SW by PS owners than PC gamers . Then they say , they don't care about visuals , lol . Nice card to play in some situations though.

Order have boring art and simple world design . Flat textures and crappy shaders . It is also very linear , just a corridor shooter with QTEs etc . Look at level design .

Then There is this open world game . Which blows Order 1886 out of the water (Both in terms of visuals and gameplay) , even in pre alpha state .

no one cares about pc graphics because it's supposed to have best graphics. hardware is always updating. much more interesting to see what devs can make of static hardware.

oh wow, the order looks so close to CGI i can't believe it lol.

The witcher 3 looks great. I hope the developer makes the world feel more alive than the witcher 2 did

Yeah I agree, The Order looks shitty. But god damn, I want to play TW3 already!

it was given to me for free. I would have bought a 1080 p tv myself but this was inherited and it was free. it lasted me all through last gen. still don't want to spend $500 or whatever it is for a new tv. is there a huge difference? I have 360 and ps4 here and playing trials fusion on both I can notice the difference in textures and framerates. framerates not so m uch. there are still drops on the ps4 w hich is weird. but even at 720p you can notice the difference. im guessing 1080p looks that much sharper. same textures though. might actually have better framerates at the lower resolution.

Turns out that the PS4 isn't as powerful as you thought it was. But yeah, you can stick with 720p, but definitely look forward for a 1080p screen, it's seriously worth it. And not just for games, for movies/shows also.

Best option is to buy a PC now, then a PS4 later on down the line, once more games have come out for it. PC is a great option right now. Building is the *hardest* part, and honestly, it wasn't hard at all. Just watch a YouTube video, read the manuals, and you'll be all set. A couple of hours at most is a small sacrifice for what you'll be getting out of your PC.

PS4 looks promising, but I'm waiting until more games come out for it. Meanwhile, my Steam backlog is keeping me busy, but that's not to downplay PS+, which also has certain advantages.

If you prefer more online experience, play on the run, peripherals that improve gaming experience such as Morpheus, franchises and playing with your family then get a PS4. Play Station Now will add more fun...

Building a gaming PC is not an easy part for me. Overclocking and avoiding getting your PC obsolete is a headache, so if you are a beginner and don't have the time to tune your machine don't waste your money.

I think getting a console then waiting for the right chance to get a gaming PC is what I can think about right now.

While many PC gamers do like to overclock, it's not required at all. It's mostly more for enthusiasts. If you're just an average PC player, overclocking is absolutely not necessary at all. I haven't done it and don't plan on doing it either, though the option is always available if I want to in the future. Getting your PC obsolete is not really a headache. People think that PCs suddenly become obsolete, but remember, console hardware also becomes old too. Your PC hardware will stay the same, but over the years you will have to change your graphics settings from Ultra to High to Medium to Low, etc. You certainly CAN play on a PC for 5-7 years, though obviously the games will become more and more demanding. I would say a rough estimate is to upgrade your graphics card every 3-5 years or so. It's very easy too. Pop out your old card and pop in the new one. Voila! Done in less than 10 minutes.

Ultimately, the choice is up to you. I personally believe the best option is to build a PC right now, then buy a PS4 later down the line. That way you get the best of both worlds. Not to mention that a fair amount of "exclusive" games for consoles also have PC versions, such as Titanfall. PS4 has stronger exclusives, so that will definitely be the console to get in a few years once more games are out for it. However, if most of your friends are picking up the PS4, buy that. The PC isn't going anywhere and it's only getting better, so that will always be an option later down the line.

I built a PC and now I don't have any money left to spend. I'll probably pick up a next gen console in the next few years if it seems viable.

Christian Bale looks like a good choice. Though if they show a younger version of him, I'll be thinking of him as Bruce Wayne instead of Steve Jobs.

I definitely think it depends on the game. For a game like Skyrim, absolutely. But for games like Bioshock, Darksiders, Hitman: Absolution, Tomb Raider, not worth it. I like to be able to get at least an hour of entertainment with each dollar I spend.

The Batman Arkham series made me watch the Dark Knight trilogy. And now I love Batman, it's freaking awesome. Currently watching the Animated Series and soon will rewatch the trilogy and replay the games.

I think Uncharted 2 is kinda overrated.

Mirror's Edge sucks.

Fez is incredibly boring.
