@freedom01: that's nice and all but if you moved it here it might as well not exist, it was meant to be seen by System Wars people.

Hey all. I'm not sure if whoever is left remembers me, but there had been a reason why I was absent and despite posting now, I cannot stay.

For the record, I live a very happy life being a full-blown industry person who is friends with both Sony and Microsoft on professional and personal level. I'm also a happy owner of all three consoles, PS4 Slim, Xbox One X and Nintendo Switch. My daughter recently turned 3 so we starred playing together. First game we played together was Banjo Kazooie but now she really likes Mario Kart 8, Kirby Star Allies and Rayman Legends.

Apart from being an editor at Hdtvpolska.com (I was previously a news section manager elsewhere) where I get to review films, games and tech with particular focus on 4k and HDR, I also got two jobs, one in a huge international pharmaceutical company (documentation specialist) and another at a helicopter enterprise (English courses), so now I value my free time more than ever...

Anyhow, recently I got the chance to play God of War for about 2.5 hours at a special event organized by the Polish PlayStation (there'll soon be one for Detroit Become Human where I'm also invited). It took place in a place modelled after a Vikings village. The setting was super fitting and super cool, replete with mead and stuff, so the highlight of that event was the opportunity to conduct an interview with lead game designer, Derek Daniels, from Sony Santa Monica Studios.

Apart from me introducing us for 5 seconds in Polish, it's fully in English. Enjoy:

I'm kind of worried that they haven't shown much of unedited gameplay footage. They've been showing mostly tightly scripted official gameplay videos. I really want to love this game and I have great feelings about it and what they've shown so far was great but this one thing is somewhat bugging me.

@KHAndAnime: I tried telling that here about HDR but all I got instead was nothing but an ignorant defiance.

@AdobeArtist: No, I'm not clinging to Arkham Knight as far as standards are concerned. I bet with your holier than-thou attitude you're completely oblivious of how many modern games even implement SLI or Crossfire as a feature, let alone have them work decently. But that's typical, I have seen that numerous times. That's not even mentioning the number of releases being mere console ports disregarding the PC UI completely.

What's more, I find your insinuation downright insulting. You're however free to cling to and parrott safe tried-and-tested status quo to create an illusion of comfort.

On the other hand, I know for fact that HDR contributes to making a greater difference than 4K itself. And I have seen it with my very own eyes. However, it is also extremely important what kind of a display you own because a $1k display compared to a $3k one might create such a disparity that's as big as having a HDR-compatible TV and not having it. It stems from the number of candelas per square metre.

@R4gn4r0k: I don't hold such standards. I'm all about 60 fps more than anything else.

@Juub1990: Decent PC is not a machine that offers you PS4-grade graphics at 1080p/30fps to me.

@Juub1990: "entry" and "level" as in two separate words, not one fixed expression "entry level". Try harder.

@R4gn4r0k: If you're willing to play your games at 1080p/30fps and toned down settings - which is about the same as on consoles - then yes, they're very cheap. Otherwise no. And why would you just play at such a resolution and framerate if you really want to have a PC?
